Anyways, someone talk me out of being an Arsenal fan. It seems Arsenal has the biggest American fanbase in the PL. Why? Esch, talk me out of it.

it can't be anyone too successful because you'll be a bandwagoner, so out goes chelsea and citeh.

it can't be anyone too midtable or you'll never get your posts upvoted on reddit so out goes everyone who finished below 8th.

it can't be arsenal because they are the post-modern internet equivalent of man united.

it can't be spurs because you fucking hate tottenham even though you've never been to london.

it can't be liverpool because the only thing worse than being a bandwagoner is being a doomed bandwagoner and you'll become a humourless whining scouser signing posts off with YNWA.

it can't be everton because you can't be another american supporting everton after the world cup, especially since the secretary of defence has given the nuclear codes to every team that turns up at goodison park.

it can't be southampton because they were everyone's hipster team last year and the only thing worse than being a hipster is being an out of date hipster.

it can't be man united because you're not malaysian.

so the answer is nobody. you can't support anybody.

so you might aswell support west ham.

Wouldn't be too exciting for me to talk about my Greek team since they play in the second division. Man U and Roma fill the gaps

It's like being an Oakland A's fan--you have to participate in a dubious cult of personality and be obnoxiously overbearing on the internet. Is that what you want for your life?

What about basic head touches? Do those lead to CTE or just really hard hitting headers?

But yeah, I get :tocry just thinking about it. A great header is a thing of beauty.

He just has a tendency of constantly taking shots. Of course strikers should make chances but he does it to the extent where some of them seem unwarranted.

That liverpool and west brom match SUCKED. West broms passing accuracy was almost USNMT level. West Brom's offense was FRUSTRATING, and Liverpool is zzz. Llallana played great, and that's the best compliment I can give that match. A win is a win, true. But that was hardly a graceful win for Liverpool, especially against West fucking Bromwich. I expect them to have trials further down the season. They play a pretty easy schedule the next few weeks, so we'll see where LiverBORE goes considering BOMBAtelli didn't do much damage this week. He plays well with Sturridge enough, but little else. Leicester v Burnley was a MUCH more fun match. City v ASton Villa put me to :zzz

Today seems to be a shit day for soccer aside from Atletico v Valencia, which from all reports is a MUST WATCH. Here's hoping Dynamo game brings the goods.

Tomorrow looks much more exciting and dramatic.

If you're American and Liverpool is your club: WHY?!?!?!??!?! They're. So. Boring.

Ajax on the other hand needs to break their losing streak against PEC.

pretty boring day at the office for us, which in itself is pretty remarkable. a comfortable three points against a shit side where we ping the ball around like a practice match and never once look like we're troubled isn't the west ham i know.

hearing that both noble (should) and kouyate (might) be fit in time for citeh, which would make it a pretty good bellwether of where we're at right now.

Not good. Not good at all. FIFA needs to make moves towards protecting players after these collisions happen. Something like a neutral doctor sub perhaps?

i could see cech style magneto helmets becoming mandatory for goalies within the decade. they're expected to be much more active presences than simple shot stoppers in the modern game, and throwing yourself at ground level into a sea of knees and studs is a big part of that.

I stayed up watching the Ipswich / Forest game and finally logged off deep into added time

Woke up thinking we were joint top, read that Forest scored a late equaliser.

I shouldn't complain - we are vastly improved this year and on near zero budget. We are worrying teams and we are going to be playoffs or there abouts. We would smash all low scoring, points, and goals conceeded records in the Premier League as we stand but man.... just to not be thinking "eeek, off to Div 1" for a season is good enough.

How the days of the late 90s and our 5th finish in the Premier League seem so distant :(

Roy Keane - outstanding middle man, great leader, massive desire to win

... but he's an out and out nasty piece of work and the latest comments on Halland? Yeah, a lot of excuses as to why it wasn't premeditated but it certainly looks (and sounds) like it was.

I was pretty gutted when he was Ipswich boss - I appreciate his qualities but at the end of the day he's just a bit of ****.

Ozil is out for 10-12 weeks with a ligament tear...

(Image removed from quote.) Arsenal team doctors and staff must be shit. Or the training. There's no reason why these should be accumulating so many damn injuries every year.

I think its the type of player that Wenger buys.
