Essentially. Yeah, these threads have really multiplied lately as it has become apparent to even the slow ones that on GAF you can never be TOO "progressive".

I do this. I realize white people are uncomfortable around black people so I do them a favor and walk on the grass/street or cross the street when I see one because I dunno what's gonna happen.

I have a new cat. His name is Fred the Kitty and he's a half-feral cat that I found living in the garage. He's maybe like 5 or 6 months old, and he's not super scared of people, but he's pretty skittish and it's taken about a week to get him to come around. He doesn't like to be petted very much, and he likes being held down and given amoxicillin for his gunky eye even less, but them's the breaks.

I always valued Hito's opinion and he was always someone to talk to if you needed advice. I'm actually shocked to find out he was only 31 because he always seems so wise. I mean, it's always sad when someone passes. But when someone you who you talked to about really personal stuff and you could open to passes, and with them all their knowledge and wisdom too...you never get over that shock. I'll miss him.

Even if you aren't overweight. A lot of people have small or medium sized pot bellies, don't look or feel fat, but their heart is slowly being congested by fat.

Go to lots of things. You never know. Save up if you can't afford a proper check up.

Just by going to the ER for an unrelated thing I found out I have a liver adenoma from years of oral contraceptives.

These things are usually not malignant but can burst or become tumors.

Wouldn't have known without that CT scan they had me do.

Even if you don't have a family history and seem relatively healthy, you should at least go for a physical every year or every two years to see if everything's working right. Blood work can show so many things that you might not know is going on or might explain even the littlest irregularity.

Yup stopped the pill recently and plan to get an appointment for another kind of contraceptive (if I can even do that) because I obviously cannot continue the pill now. Also I read that most physicians these days prefer to remove it so I'll have to factor that into future plans.

But like I said, wouldn't have a clue if I didn't go to the ER since I'm completely healthy otherwise.
