I think the controls are fine aside from the fact that I'm still so accustomed to Smash on a Gamecube controller that anything else just seems alien to me. I was fiddling around with Project M via Dolphin a couple of weeks ago, and even the 360 pad was frustrating me.

Although I will agree that the 3DS XL is just uncomfortable in general. I ordered a grip for the XL to see if that can help prevent hand cramping.
