I don't see the console doom and gloom. Kinda looks like mustard race distinguished mentally-challenged. There are a lot of indies but there are a lot of AAAs that are gonna be releasing now. Fuck no. What new games are coming out on those systems that core gamers care about? I see it as logic, not optomism. Look at the player count for BF4 PS4. The next-gen fanbase is already there and it will grow with new titles that interest them. If this is MS or Sony's last generation it isn't because nobody wants console games.

I expect the Halo pack, Arkham, Bloodborne, Uncharted 4 to sell well.

Truth be told I don't see The Order becoming hot shit. I am sure plenty of people that already have a PS4 will buy it but I don't see new customers because of it. Who knows? People bought 360's for Gears despite it being a mediocre cover based shooter.

I don't know much of anything about console gaming BUT I still think the One can do very well in the US, and catch the PS4. Neither system really has any games of interest right now, but the PS4 has been on fire due to being cheap (for people who waste money on consoles). Now that there's price parity between the two consoles, sales should become closer. Then the battle becomes "who has THE game of the holidays." If XB1 has it...I see no reason to doubt that it could win the holiday period. Same applies to the PS4.

Also we'll see whether MS' NFL hail mary works in the next couple months.

PS3 ended up doing fine in the end. I won't count out the One until the white flag is in the air. If it was as powerful as the PS4 I probably would've got it instead. I wouldn't mind playing Dead Rising, Sunset Overdrive or the new Halos. But it isn't as powerful and there is a real chance that MS is gonna bail out some time in the future.

They're already doing that by porting Ryse and Dead Rising 3 (granted those are third parties) "X-box only" exclusives to PC. It's only a matter of time before I get my Phantom Dust PC port like I want.

The only thing I feel comfortable predicting about the consoles is that the cycle is gonna be a lot shorter this time around; everyone is using standard shit and needs to make money. plus as much as people hate to see it, mobile devices get a yearly (if not more) spec bump, and yeah, people play games on them (and manufacturers are rollin in it).

One thing I enjoy about the MJ decrim in Washington is that they're putting the state liquor monopoly in charge of it. 

I think it's Pennsylvania where they had a "huge advancement" in liquor liberty by allowing you to buy wine in grocery stores. After you take a breathalyzer.

History books talking about how prohibition went away yet these are still all over the country with shit hours, shit prices and shit selection. 


All that said, the State of Michigan still holds a liquor distribution monopoly and sets the prices, which are about 90-95% taxes. But at least I can go to a fucking grocery store or party store or gas station instead of dealing with the state.

In Virginia, a push toward privatization by Gov. Bob McDonnell (R) appears dead after the state's liquor stores announced that they saw a record profit of $121 million in the last fiscal year. McDonnell's privatization plan, which would only have raised $200 million by selling liquor licenses, was deemed "a small piece of change" by one state senator, according to the News & Advance of Lynchburg.

Likewise, in Pennsylvania, opponents have argued that the state's liquor distribution system is highly efficient. When privatization backers can only argue that liquor shouldn't be a government function, not that privatization will make states money, they have a losing argument, said Young. "When people have to resort to philosophy, they can't win in a fact-based conversation."

Well it wasn't really a dramatic "I will show him." I am aware that he would be unlikely to detect the .00001 cents I was denying him in ad revenue and would connect it to the ban of Orayn. I just decided I was fine with not contributing to his paycheck when he demonstrated how big of a cunt he was. When Orayn was unbanned I made the (incorrect) assumption that he had realized how unreasonable he was.

I mean it is essentially like the boycott of a mega corp. They won't feel the loss of a single person, but I still feel better about myself not supporting them.
