We're in kind of a win now phase atm. So while the longterm potential of progressive is enticing, we feel liberal is more suited to our immediate success.

Now, if you're willing to give us exclusive negotiation rights with decriminalization and something like...idk, future considerations on mandatory sentencing guidelines, we can talk.

Well the reason people are saying this is because their exposure to WWI is Dan Carlin's Hardcore History where he focuses intensely on trench warfare.
Personally, I'd love a WWI game...if I was into FPS games.

Like you couldn't furnish a WW1 game entirely out of colony coloreds. Which sets the stage for a grim-dark story of how both sides were bad and there are no good guys.

Except for the white british protagonist who thinks the colonies should be freed and has a fuckton of anachronistic ideas about right and wrong.

There's a recentish World War II comic... its name eludes me at the moment... and it has an issue set during the Spanish Civil War where an Irish fascist, a proper upstanding anti-racist, anti-fascist English gent in the International Brigades, some hard-ass Basque bro who dgaf, and a member of the Condor Legion are stuck in a foxhole and eventually the Irish fella gets the English one to break his façade and call him a bogtrotter. It's so :banderas friends.

More than a collection of clever set pieces and visceral encounters, A World At War infuses the stale FPS genre with new concepts and fresh ideas on how narrative structure can be utilized. Its true draw is the prominent and powerful message of equality spread throughout the players globe hopping adventures. Faced with the savage conditions of life in colonial holdings, William is forced to confront the depravity of man from a variety of political lenses...

Another WW1 fact:

Shock troops (elite infantry units) in the modern sense of the word where first used in this conflict

Quote
The primary goal of these detached units was to infiltrate the enemy's lines and break his cohesiveness as much as possible. These formations became known as Stosstruppen, or shock troops, and the tactics which they pioneered would lay the basis of post-WWI infantry tactics, such as the development of fire teams.

the dungeons don't even have a more limited viewpoint.  your brain is tricking you. if you slice off the top and bottom of the viewing area in the mobile versions, you get the exact same view as the ps2 version.  you're not seeing less, you're seeing more.

You have less viewing space horizontally, though and that's where it counts. Certain dungeons feel cramped, and because of this, don't feel like linear treks anymore.

the mobile version of DQ8 improves upon the dungeon design in the ps2 version due to the more limited viewing experience.
What a little bitch.
