I'm not a part of the movement. I just find it funny.

And whites being more tolerant doesn't mean anything to me, because it's not something I advertise outside of this forum and no one in real life will ever know  outside of people I fuck anyways. :hitler

The Wii U pro controller is fantastic too.

Nintendo's best controller ever made, in my opinion. It's got everything. GC is slightly more ergonomic but it's not wireless and the c-stick/d-pad are kinda jank.

Berliners have a reputation of being rude. Never been there myself, so I don't really have anything of value to offer outside of that.

I've met maybe three black people in my entire life (that I can remember), none of which I've actually had an extended conversation with, so I don't really know what kind of prejudice and racism they face here and how prevalent it is. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that it's wore than what other ethnicities face. :shaq2

That said, the top comment in that link is very mistaken about the homogenous society. Nearly 20% of Germans have a "migration background", as we've come to call it. Some areas are more diverse than others, but we're hardly a homogenous society. :dayum

Listing D-tier JRPGs outside of like... Persona 4 and mayyyybe Disgaea (depending on who you ask) as a "vibrant library for the system." Granted, the PSP wasn't alone in having a bunch of D-tier JRPGs among the B/A-tier port jobs but still... system library leaves a lot to be desired. But apparently my "pirate sensibilities" have offended a few of the "Vita-GAF" people.

The System Library is part of the issue
[close]

The hardware price, the memory card prices, and everything else it does being able to be done on cell phones is the other. But the system library not being compelling enough to get people to go past the other points is a major problem.

Is it even selling 5,000 anymore? Didn't they take it off all the store shelves now since Borderlands launch?

It may not have made the Vita a complete success, but I feel like Sony's real last chance at turning things around around for the Vita was when the Minecraft port came out. That shit should have been bundled, mass advertised and shoved in everyone's faces as having a portable version of Minecraft's full version and not the pocket edition, kids would eat that shit up more than anything.

Of course that would be an Sony of America venture, who don't give a shit about the system.  :-\ Sony Japan prob would have done something about it.

Why would they bundle Minecraft with the system for $200-250... when they (and you) know people would just use Minecraft pocket edition on a mobile? The only benefit Minecraft has on Sony's handheld is being like the 360/PS3 version and being cross-buy on DLC for the PS3/PS4 verisons. But that's about it. I seriously doubt kids and the parents footing the bill would pay for a system for one title that they could already get on a phone despite a few limitations in that version.

Look at what's popular with kids right now; movies like Frozen, cartoony, fluffy stuff. There's nothing to lose with localizing those cutesy, big-eyed Japanese games with English VO and giving them their proper marketing. Nothing to lose at all, especially considering where they're at right now.

Yeah nothing just money.

Since the kids love Frozen they'll love Persona!

It's not so much "gender roles" (just we were discussing those) but more "this is completely clueless and partly gender-roles."

It was tone-deaf of the writer to even say "I am... a computer scientist" and then make the story about how Barbie completely fucks everything over to where her male fellow students have to fix her screw-up for her. Why couldn't she solve that herself? Throw the gender-role aside for a moment. It's a poor story written anyway because of that. It certainly won't help women feel confident to deal with computers if a book is going to go "you'll just screw everything up to where us men have to fix it for you." You get where I'm going, yes?

I mean why even mention Barbie is a computer scientist if 1) she isn't doing the coding herself and 2) she's getting others to do the work for her when she's (supposedly) in a comp-sci class.

It doesn't help women.

The point is: A writer for Mattel thought it was completely okay to have the boys solve Barbies computer problems/female computer problems. When Barbie/girls are in a computer science class whereby they should be able to do this at that point. If nothing else, ask her female teacher, yeah?

As someone who used to work on PSP games for a living I am not at all surprised that there's no software for it. Everyone (like my old employer) who got in on the PSP train got burned so hard that if they didn't die out they went into mobile or social development. At this point any studio that could afford to make a title on a PSP game budget either doesn't have the resources to make the kinds of games that would sell the Vita or wouldn't bother because they could make way more money shitting out mobile games.

2008-2010 was a horrible period for small/midsized studios (I'm talking 40-100 people) and if you have more than about 4 employees as a games studio this day then you better be working on like 3 mobile games at once or have some really generous investors.
