NeoGaf as a whole has lost a huge amount of cred with people in the gaming industry. Gaming side gets laughed at, its the punchline or point for many jokes and offhand remarks and rightfully so. Evilore has probably gotten messages or vibes that confirm this.

His ego was probably fucked with, meaning he's culling anything that shits on NeoGaf further.

A lot of the old guard quality posters have left.  There's also a lot flack from him flaunting his money--Eurotrips, cars, etc.

See, the problem is that I can't just randomly talk about all the crazy shit. I can't just bring up that I did a 30 mile illegal mountain race in pouring rain at an average speed of 120 miles per hour, water shooting up so many feet in the air. I can't randomly say that I've illegally hiked through the side of the Grand Canyon and had to freestyle mountain climb back to safety, as every other handhold broke away with my back to certain death, then uncontrollably slide down to the ranger checkpoint and get impaled by a desert plant on my way down, luckily deciding earlier to have brought a quikclot pack with me. I can't say that I swam in a ridiculously strong riptide in Hawaii and had to barely make it to a coral reef and drag myself inch by inch along the reef back to shore, being gashed by the reef in a hundred different places, then smear sand in the wounds until they stopped bleeding, the ground soaked with blood, then walk miles back to my car, barefoot.

Not even that I train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and that I'll look anyone in the eyes, calm and resolved from a thousand fights.

    Not that I'm a writer. "Blogger" is about the best I can do for now, sharing stories with my members.

    Not that I had to conquer morbid obesity. I look normal now, so it's a weird thing to bring up with strangers unless you're insecure.

    Not that I had to conquer social anxiety in order to live any measure of a life, and that doing any of the things I'm doing now would've been a laughable impossibility ten years ago even if I had the means back then, since I would've stopped, paralyzed, before taking the first step out of the door.

    Not that I'm somehow more successful than most people they'll ever meet, while being ethical and kind to everyone I can, and having grown up poor as dirt. I'm staying at vomit-soaked hostels and crashing at friends' houses; who does that just to connect with people better and make more friends and have more stories to tell, and not because it's the only option?

    I can't just randomly say that stuff, you know? I'm just me,I'm just this friendly, sincere, slightly shy American guy with a website who's traveling for fun and fulfillment and writing about it for your entertainment. I d on't stand out from the crowd, I don't have any special magnetism. I pass by quietly, maybe leaving a little hug or a holding of hands or a kiss behind as a brief sentiment of affection before being walked away from in the rain, alone, and people are none the wiser on who they've shrugged off and left behind.
