We've met and chatted before and I didn't get any sort of vibe like that, so I was only left with assuming some sort of bad blood had formed, maybe the offer being declined coupled with some anti-MS sentiment being prevalent on NeoGAF at the time because of the DRM scandals leading to a big snub.

Maybe I somehow misinterpreted the scenario where I walked up to you with my group in order to thank you in person for the E3 offer, said hi, made eye contact, went in for a handshake, and then you took my hand but immediately spun a 180 while the handshake was still in progress to directly put your back to me, to gasps and aghast facial expressions from the people I was with. A little bit '60s comic book villain, but charming in its forthrightness, I will say.
The most egregious recent example of attempted bribery was Major Nelson offering to get me and the NeoGAF staff into E3 last year after the ESA decided to no longer treat us as Media. The offer was to come “under the banner of Microsoft” as, like, official Microsoft delegates. I had a good laugh at that one!
Holy shit at that Evilore. Honestly, knowing how thin-skinned Lore is and with this story in mind, I wouldn't be surprised if he came back to the mod forum all bothered and decreed that MS' wig should be dragged through the mud.

The dominate Japanese video game companies of the 80's and 90's all seem to be either floundering or actively trying to get out of the video game business. Classic franchises are becoming dormant, occasionally resurfacing as farmed out mobile games. Should Nintendo take a page out of Disney's playbook and start snapping up classic intellectual property (or even whole companies) to add to their portfolio?Should Nintendo be looking to buy well known franchises like Sonic/Megaman/Castlevania, not only for the virtual console and merchandising revenue, but because Nintendo can actually get a team together to make a new, good installment?I'd think that these companies would be more willing to sell to Nintendo because it's another Japanese company with a commitment to quality and staying in the video game business (not all that different than the owners of Star Wars, The Muppets, and Marvel approving of the Disney buyouts not only because of the piles of cash, but because of Disney's reputation).What IP should Nintendo pursue?
