More like 21  :jawalrus

Anyways, I'm sure it's tough as shit to deal with, but my dad has always been a shit father to me (he's done much better with my brother) and it just kinda adds to it, I guess

Ah, OK. I’m not going to go all AiA on you and tell you not to judge stuff you haven’t experienced. I do hope you will look back on this thread and giggle at yourself once you’re married and she’s becoming hysteric and irrational from runaway hormones compounding natural fear of mortality. It’s... not fun.

Pretty sure you’re the rare case. Most of my friends had rough patches similar to mine. I’m sure every woman is a unique snowflake when it comes to handling pregnancy, maybe yours is extra special?

I really think it's time I moved out of this town. Not cause someplace else will be much safer, just that I'm not exactly a fan of the red state small town mentality. 99% of my friend's are gone for good, a lot of why I enjoyed living here had a lot to do that. Fell out of love with the bar scene, don't think the romantic prospects are high at all, and just flat out don't really enjoy living here.

I always moved without staying somewhere too long, ever since I was a kid. And I feel like that mentality stuck with me. Don't like to be in the same place for too long, especially now since most people have moved on. And due to my city kid self I kind of miss being in one. Haven't decided where yet, but I'll find somewhere to go.

Overall, there's a bit too much dissatisfaction on my end. While moving might be a superficial change, it's definitely a change I really want to make.

Clearly feeling your nomadic roots. Start a caravan and just travel around the country!

ALLERGIES.

Last two days, the allergen report shows the western half of Japan in the worst portion of their gauge. All red. I’m waking myself up with sneezes during the night. When the alarm rings, I’ve got swollen eyelids. Bloody noses happening.

The pollen in this country can go fuck itself.

Thanks.

Actually, if the pollen were hail-sized, it wouldn't get up my nose as much. We've also got "PM 2.5" in abundance, which apparently makes allergies even worse, as the particulate matter acts as a pre-irritant and enhances allergic reactions.  :-\

I've seen those bees before. I don't know why that guy's got one on his hand; they can sting multiple times, and more than once can hospitalize or kill the victim.

The prevailing wisdom is that it's wafting from China due to all their polluting factories. Japanese people like to talk about it a lot and then order more crates of cheap crap for their hundred-yen shops.

Do you have any other allergies chrono?
Just hay fever, and I'm not even clear what pollen is affecting me. It's various grasses in the USA, and it appears to be cedar here. Lately I have a little reaction to cat-households as well, but it's minor.

I laughed at too many of the telegraphed jokes in this. http://www.mhpbooks.com/communist-bracketology-an-exclusive-interview-with-the-creators-of-marx-madness/

The prize is self-satisfaction and the confirmation that you were right—there is no better prize for a Marxian intellectual.

While cultural Marxism is certainly a go-to epithet for (particularly European) reactionaries, concepts like the right to the city prove more and more pertinent as urban areas are continually reduced yuppie lebensraum across the world.

Tried to get out of meeting with my supervisor so I could go back to bed and sleep depressively but got back a pretty strong reply saying to be at his office.  I so want to quit gradschool but I'm stuck until at least may in order to get my masters and really I should stay longer to finish up stuff and find a job.  But every day is a damn struggle.

Good for you!

This may seem like a no-brainer, but when you’re talking with the next company, stay positive about the previous company during the interview.

I had this one bite me in the ass a couple years ago. Everyone knows if you’re leaving, things are less than great, and staying positive will win you more points than being candid.
