My dad once at family party, thinking he was Mr Cool Guy did the biggest just like super over exaggerated SERIES of monster hits in a row off of a whip vape I brought, not having smoked weed in decades. We tried to tell him it was going to be a lot stronger than what he did back in the day, and I think he wanted to show us kids that he really used to get down and could handle it, in a state of drunken machismo. He stops and we’re all just standing there waiting for him to fall over or something but he shoots right up, spreads his arms and says

“Wait, can it be? The spirit world!”

He passed out shortly after.

since i was in like 7th grade, i had horrible dental hygiene. gums would bleed constantly and i needed repeated deep cleanings. everyone hates/dislikes trips to the dentist, i'm sure, but mine were riddled with much more fear. no matter what i did, i could not last more than a few weeks without the problem resurfacing. the problem grew worse and more destructive as time went on, and got bad enough that i have permanent damage in the bone area that supports your teeth, resulting in the need for my first ever gum surgery.

this happened 3 and 1/2 years ago, and i am proud to say that as of today with my most recent trip, i have not had the need for anything beyond a basic cleaning since. instead of going in every 2-3 months, i'm now able to go in twice a year. for the most part, i'm now basically a normal dental patient

I hate to say it, but by far the biggest thing was incorporating flossing. i mean, brushing twice a day also helps, but the flossing was definitely the silver bullet.

Took a shitload of PS4 games and got rid of them tonight- Had been thinking about stopping the collecting thing for PS4 (don't play it much anymore) and just decided to go and clear out stuff- Sold most of the games to Gamestop and another batch to Amazon for about $700 total.

None of this was the "rare" stuff so was happy to get rid of it and I still have too many games for this thing, but it just felt good to dump stuff and free up space. Joy was sparked, etc.

Going to keep going and downsize all this gaming shit.

it used to take me like about 10 minutes when i first started, and the first couple of weeks were pretty cumbersome. but honestly, once you get used to it, it's not that bad, surprisingly. now i can floss in under 2 mins. for me the biggest problem is that i eat late at night and i have to wait an hour before brushing, and so i tend to get tired and fall asleep before i can brush/floss.

Yeah, same for me. I could probably brush me teeth only once a day (I've never had any holes in my adult teeth) but a day without flossing and my gums start to look like the cover of Doom.

I can't even imagine how much shit you'd have to bring in to get $700 from Gamestop.

$300-ish was from Gamestop, but yeah...it was a lot of shit. Mostly games bought on the cheap so not too bad. I opted for cash, too- credit would have been a lot higher.

I did fuck up and sell them one game that I should have kept for if no other reason than to sell it myself elsewhere- I have the LE version of it and didn't realize that the LE complete actually goes for a fair amount. I didn't give them the LE box so I may go buy the game back, so I can turn around and see if it sells for $100+ online, lol.

A crazy amount. Before I started they had most IT support outsourced so the "support + Licencing + Voip DDI shit" was around 56k a year or something crazy, vs new system which is like 25k and does the same shit.

Our government awards contracts using a point system. There were a few categories, including the quality of the plan.
My plan had a 100% score. All 30 points I could get for the plan. Boom.
Especially because we didn't just hit all the boxes but also questioned their shitty prototype as it did not meet their project goals.

My offer was 90k, which was below the maximum allowed budget of 100k.

So why would the government reject a plan with a 100% score?
Well, someone scored 51% on their plan but offered the web application for a grand total of 20k. Less than 1/3 of our asking price.
No wonder all government IT projects fail with dumb points systems like these that force them to choose the worst plan.

The government could've had something great. Now they get garbage.
