Yeah that's why I tend to advise people that want kids not to wait too long to have kids because you definitely feel the drag later. When I had my first kid I was young enough to be able to be up most of the night with a cranky baby and then do a full days work. By my last kid just a little over 10 years later I was dead on my feet with even getting more sleep.

I was way behind on a project for work, so I stayed up until 2am working on it, then got up at 5:30 to finish up. Now I'm done, but I'm feeling fucking dead.

It wasn't so long ago that I'd be fine on 3.5 hours of sleep for at least one day. I think it was my late 20's when I noticed I was having a harder time with it, and now at 32 it feels almost impossible.

I can't do this anymore either and I'm 27.

Saw a story today that the university I went to would and does report victims of sexual assault and rape to the honor code office, so it could be determined if they were doing "anything wrong" that needs to be addressed by the honor code office (meaning, probably being put on academic probation or possibly expulsion).

I have nephews and nieces that go there now.
They wont believe me if I tell them it's not a safe place to be.

Did you go to BYU?  I've heard they're crazy about the honor/moral code thing but that sounds borderline illegal with the rape shield law. Ah. Well if it's his first and he has a lawyer he can expect the following

90 days in jail (87 days suspended)
choice of 2 4 hour defensive driving classes OR a weekend stay at a holiday inn/DUI intervention class OR taking 3 days of jail time
500-1000 in fines
90 day license suspension but he should probably already have his work privileges
50% chance of party plates
50% chance of community service requirements (20 hours)

A hit no doubt but not life ending shit.

It's probably stopped a girl you know/knew from coming forward. That there would be a school investigation into whether she was drinking that night or whatever the school prohibits. In this case they're literally holding her degree hostage by not letting the victim sign up for classes until she cooperates with the investigation.
