Same year we got Blur we got Split/Second as well. Granted, it got repetitive but the first time you brought down the Air Control tower to change the airport map and then another player sent down the plane on the next lap was insane
Now there was a game that deserved a sequel and got none.
As for Driveclub. Generally Sony 1st party hasn't been on the level it was on during the early PS2 years since the PS3 and Sony stanleys can't seem to get over it. Hence why every Sony 1st party must be hyped like mana sent from the heavens because by god they have a reputation to maintain. Motherfuckers don't even realize The Order 1886 isn't even fit to be within 20 feet of The Mark Of Kri's shoes. Driveclub isn't a patch on Motorstorm and from what I tried, a pretty bland Project Gotham clone (Where the developers forgot all the good things about Project Gotham) but god help them if Sony studios aren't held on the same vestigal platform as Nintendo EAD because them damn Ninthings, PCucks (This is the new insult for PC Gamers, or so I'm told) and Xbots can't doubt how good Sony's 1st party is. The party line must be maintained by all stanleys lest they show weakness.
Also PAL regions only got The Mark Of Kri and Rise Of The Kasai was left in US so our memories are untainted
