Rhythm games? Aren't most of those Miku these days? I'd concentrate on local multiplayer more than anything tbh. You say that shooting games get the most attention, but that doesn't change the fact that the kid game: adult game ratio is completely out of whack compared to the 90's on modern systems. Nintendo is the easier bet for a parent. Steam also has a better balance of kid games, from Putt Putt to Monkey Island to Lego Minecraft to the indie games. You could argue ps4 or one is good for a kid under 11 but I don't agree and I'm not the sort of person who thinks today's gore is the exactly best thing to tell a kid is perfectly fine.

I'd rather play fighting games with my kid before I ever subjected them to Miku.

I wasn't at all thinking about Miku, but stuff like Amplitude which came out in the past week, the Just Dances and band stuff like Guitar Hero/Rock band/Rocksmith.

The eternal sub versus dub argument has always been spergy.

All comes down to entertainment. Jojo for example is always gonna be a goofy, badass show. The sub packs a lot more emotion into many moments, this is based on tone and sound in general. I'm not a mystical nippon man, so I have no idea if its cornball overacting, but I like how the characters sound in Japanese.

The dub is fucking hysterical and amplifies the goofiness of an already goofy show. Its great in its own way if you don't have a huge stick up your ass.

Both are their own flavor of the same show. I'd say if an anime is worth watching twice due to differences in sub versus dub, that's a much stronger anime compared to others.
