I mean, if Trump WERE to try to fire Meuller, all it would do is cause the deliberate IC leaks to ramp up again until public pressure increases more and more.

The whole reason that Meuller got appointed in the first place is because the IC was sick of seeing the GOP try to sweep shit under the rug so they started leaking shit CONSTANTLY to put the public pressure on Trump and the GOP. AND IT WORKED.

Mueller happened because of all the leaks that happened right after he fired Comey. The leaks have calmed down a bit since Mueller has been assigned but if Mueller was fired, I can guarantee you that the leaks would ramp back up again.

Like I said, if Trump actually went through with that it would only hurt him. Ever since Mueller was assigned to Special Counsel the deliberate leaks started calming down, which was basically the IC and FBI saying that they were satisfied with Mueller handling this investigation.

Trump and his deplorables may THINK that firing Mueller would take the heat off the investigation, but really all it would do is cause the IC and FBI to start ramping up their deliberate leaks again.

And before you respond with "Trump and the GOP won't care about the leaks", we have numerous reasons to believe that they DO in fact care about the leaks:

- The fact that Trump himself constantly whines about the leaks
- The fact that Fox News is dipping in ratings because most news watchers are sick of seeing fox refuse to cover the scandals surrounding Trump
- The concessions that the GOP already has had to do in response to public pressure (Flynn resigning, Sessions saying he would recuse himself fro Russia investigations, Mueller being appointed in the first place, the fact that the Russia sanctions still haven't been lifted even though Trump clearly wants to lift them, etc.)

For everyone worried about Trump firing Mueller, did you all forget what led to Mueller getting assigned in the first place?

Since Mueller got assigned, the deliberate IC and FBI leaks have actually calmed down significantly. That's not an accident.

If Trump were to fire Mueller, it would lead to the same ramp up in leaks that caused Mueller to get assigned in the first place.
