What you should do is weed those women out in the dating stage, not marry them. Next time you start a new relationship bros, what you want to do is let your girl 'accidentally' catch you watching tentacle/scat hentai or the most fucked up shit you can find. PROTIP  :playa

Any 25+ year olds thinking of giving up movies or books?

This weird sanctitiy we give to gaming is probably the creepiest and most offputing piece ofg gaming culture, that not only fundamentally creepier than other problems, but also heavily contributes to them all. Stop treating gaming as a cult. Just because you may not be in a position to play through all dem interchangeable open world 30+ hours triple A experiences doesn't mean you are completely lost as far as industry goes. There's experiences for you just like ther are movies and tv shows for you, yada yada.

While under normal circumstances I wouldn't be that bummed out about something like this, I have dealt with some pretty substantial emotional abuse (along with cheating and other shitty things) in my past two relationships over the past year so when I had an amazing date last night and heard nothing from the guy today I was pretty let down.

Last night we talked for hours, he got lost a thousand times driving because he was so into the conversation we were having, we roasted each other all night, and we just had the best chemistry I've ever had with someone right off the bat on a first date. It really felt like magic to me. At the end he bought me dinner too before he dropped me off.

He sent me a text afterward that I spilled his frosty in his car and I apologized a billion times over and told him I'd buy him chipotle tonight since he wanted it last night but they were closed. Heard nothing back.

Honestly I was extremely discouraged from dating before last night to begin with, but now, after being ghosted over a fucking frosty, I'm ready to throw in the towel and marry myself.

(I'm a gay dude btw, which makes the dating scene even worse)

Has anyone had any luck with dating after literally having a terrible experience after every terrible experience?

I wouldn't blame people for being interested in Chinese success at exporting cultural products, the article posted though is kinda... heh. Shallow assumptions in what constitutes "soft power" for one, a rather narrow conception of what sort of culture may contribute to it and a rather dubious assessment of their cultural exports (it's not reaching US shores en masse, but do they even want to ? What's the state of their cultural influence with their near abroad however ? I mean besides the fact China is bankrolling Western blockbusters now...).

AFAIK there's actually quite a lot of Chinese contemporary artists making the rounds in Europe, it's a fairly vibrant scene in spite of the regime.

I don't get why a thread like that needed to be locked.

I've noticed recently that a small number of threads, that aren't offensive in any way, are getting locked with modbot leaving little comments about how it's not necessary or whatever.  I assume this is a single mod doing this for whatever dumb reason.

You cannot compare Watchmen to the works of Shirow-SAMA, who currently spends his days drawing pictures of oiled-up women being molested by horse-men.  Nothing from Beikoku even comes close.  :pimp :usacry
