Lol what mod is this  :lol More of this please. From the now locked blisteringly original thread ' What is your favorite PS4 console exclusive so far?'

Quote from: CaptainofIndustry
What is your favorite PS4 exclusive so far? I think mine is currently Bloodborne, but I just started playing Horizon Zero Dawn and I can see this taking the top spot. I'm only a few hours in and I'm loving it.

Note: I labeled the title of the thread console exclusive to include games like Nier: Automata as well (it's on Steam, too). ]At this point, who SHOULDN'T be recused?

Quote from: Modbot
A) Who gives a crap what is or isn't exclusive when talking about favorite games? B) Low effort thread with no discussion value, people just listing titles. Zzzzzz.

For some reason I suspect it's Duckroll.

So that horrifying gif that was posted a few days ago with a face that looked like a beehive and weird blinking eyes, why was that considered ableist or offensive to people on the spectrum on GAF?

Who fucking knows.  Seeing people react so melodramatically over a rendering glitch was embarrassing.  Acting like it was a gore image reposted from Ogrish or something.

Crossing Eden getting mocked in his stupid thread :lol

Quote
I didn't know becoming highly invested in a debate was a free pass to act like a jerk for everyone that engages you regardless of the fact they're not acting in the same equally poor fashion. Good to know. What happened in other threads and who called whom a shitposters is not my problem when I'm here arguing sincerely and yet being called a waifu-crazed dudebro pervert for no good reason. If you're being a dismissive and disingenious jerk poster who devolves to calling every disagreeable gaffer confused, ignorant and stupid, you deserve to have it brought to your attention that you're a mess.

Quote
Please save your stupid condescension for someone else. I own a number of art books from my school days and know exactly what that is, have since a young age. Your over-explanation is unnecessary and doesn't change anything previously stated that Tracer was designed to be both hot and practical. Your examples are comical and reveal how attached/biased you've become to the designs YOU personally like.

I understand you're getting defensive because YOUR waifus aren't as progressive and perfect as you love to imagine.

Quote
I don't expect to ever change your mind CE, I see you often posting in any topic to do with anything sexual in gaming in the same ways. However, big debates resulting in comments like the one bolded is what makes your points of view often come across similar to "religious puritanism".

Your scale seems to go from 0 to 100. Nothing in-between. Which is fine as your personal outlook, but your way of arguing often comes across as verging on demanding others think like you or they get resulting remarks like the one I bolded above. An attempt to smear people as "not believing women are people". Or whatever you meant by that comment. Which is ridiculous. Everyone's dials just do not go from 0 to 100 when a bit of skin is on show. I would have hoped the collective result of probably near 1000 words I've posted in here would give you some food for thought from a psychological POV, from someone sex-positive and someone who finds it dear to their heart to live in a world with better sex education for youths to stop a lot of this shaming, guilt-tripping, bastardising and name-calling (earlier we had people automatically called perverts by another poster).

Quote
Why do you talk like this to everyone who disagrees with you? Everyone is either a confused moron or a dirty waifu-crazed pervert and you're here to SCHOOL them, and it comes through in your repulsive tone. Do everyone a favor and give it a rest if you can't stop such enormous condescension, because it makes that much more unconvincing. And no, this is not tone policing. I'm telling you your demeanor, regardless of the merits of your argument, is terrible and off-putting.

Quote
This is every thread you make. You take unrelated stats like strong sales of sports games and Nintendo games as proof that your loaded arguments are a fact of life. You haven't proven anything ITT.

Quote
I read your sloppy and typo-laden OP. I understood it and I disagree with it, as did many others. You're veering off into shitty territory by resorting to telling people they're "confused" for not agreeing with your shoddy premises.

Feel bad for anyone on a capped data allowance or slow connection speed.

:lol

People have been downloading games that wouldn't fit on the switch's onboard storage for years, but sure, the issue here is DL caps.

Nah, I can believe that- I can't be the only one whose ISP only recently started having data caps.

It's funny; I dropped the TV stuff from my provider to knock the bill way down.  To get around the data caps, you can pay an additional $30 a month, which I did because we kept going over.  So now the bill is back where it was with TV again.   :lol :-\

I look at this in two ways.  On one hand, 25GB of free space on Switches is laughable.  On the other hand, they went with micro SD cards for storage.  So it doesn't cost that much to add more space, especially compared to the Vita.

I've never heard of data caps in the past like, 15 years. Move to europe breh.

But anyway, yes there's a "work around" with additional SD cards (although it's baffling that they're not allowing external HDD on the dock) but this console is ridiculous with the amount of extra stuff needed to have a somewhat decent set a features that have been a non-issue for a decade. It's already overpriced for what it is.

Want a decent regular controller? 70 bucks for a reskin of the 3 gen-old pro controller.
Fine with the joycon dock thing? Sorry, you can't charge them. Buy this premium one with a USB port kthx.
Want to have more than a couple of games installed? Go get some extra micro SD cards.
Want voice chat? I hope you have a phone.
Want an extra/new dock? 90 buckaroos for what is an empty cheap plastic shell with a USB/HDMI splitter on a board the size of a match box.

This is insane.

Got a letter some months ago, that "for my convenience" they were increasing the bandwidth limit to 1TB a month. (Over that you pay $$$ per GB or something.)

There hadn't been a limit prior.

An HDD in the dock is completely at odds with the main selling point of the system. What happens if you pull the system out while it accesses the disk? Also, the Switch Pro Controller supports motion tracking, NFC and haptic feedback - the Wii U Pro Controller did not. So it's kinda understandable that it's more expensive.

Also, the Switch Pro Controller supports motion tracking, NFC and haptic feedback - the Wii U Pro Controller did not. So it's kinda understandable that it's more expensive.

Some things make sense (well, I still feel that the controller prices are too high), but some things definitely are head scratchers, like how they are handling online features.  Right now it is pretty much non-existent...I added a couple of people and literally cannot do anything other than see when they're online and what games they've played.  That's barely any better than the 3DS.

I've never heard of data caps in the past like, 15 years. Move to europe breh.

One of the big reasons I stuck with AT&T for so long was that they had no data caps until recently.  They did this in attempt to get people to start paying for TV services again-- if you opt for Internet and TV...there's no data cap.  Otherwise you have to pay an additional $30 a month to remove it.  I opted for the latter because I don't care about their TV shit and any deals they offer expire after 1-2 years and then the TV prices go up and up.

Want to have more than a couple of games installed? Go get some extra micro SD cards.

Depends on the game, really.  Just like all the other systems.  This is no different than the Vita was, only it's much cheaper to get an SD card.  I got a 200 GB card for $60.  I'm good for a while, especially since I buy most retail releases physically.  If you go all-digital and want to keep a shitload of retail games downloaded, then yeah, you're probably gonna have to pony up for more than one.

I agree that is so much better than the Vita solution but with stuff like the Lego game (if it ends being true) feels like Nintendo washing their hands of sytem memory issues and what third parties developers do with patches or game installs rather than being consumer friendly as was constantly promoted by fanboys.

There's also Mario Kart 8 with actual real battle mode and ARMS, but who knows if the latter will be any good.

If you're not interested in all the indie games and ports, it's not worth buying one this year unless Nintendo has a lot of surprises in store for E3.  Get Zelda on Wii U.  This is also a good time to go back and pick up some Wii U games that you might have missed.

You can romance more or less every story relevent male character in the game, even marrying one of them if you so choose, regardless of your gender, so its rather open in terms of homosexuality that way, and some of the interactions are kinda sweet, like my favourite character leftie and his interactions. Then there are the more, symbolic, themes, such as fast travel around the map being done by crawling through what are effectively giant muck infested flesh tunnels, or how enemies tend to wear little to no clothing alot of the time with their dongs just flapping about, normally with hard ons.

Not seeing much diversity there. 95% of them look like muscle busters. Very samey. Huge traps. Muck infested flesh tunnels. Reminds me of a fable.

Having the Cap avatar sometimes feels super weird as I'm figuring out all this shit.

What happens if you unplug your PS4 while it's updating the system? I mean at some point, restricting storage space to insane levels because 0.1% of the user base would do something dumb is rather silly. But it's Nintendo, so.

You don't normally unplug a PS4, whereas the Switch is designed to be taken out of the dock at any time.  I can see why Nintendo would want to avoid the problems that would come from this.

I really don't see how having a decent HDD in the dock to at the very least swap games in the internal storage of the console would in any way be an issue. Put a ginormous message on screeen saying that "data is being transferred, don't remove the console you jerk". Done.

It's not an isolated issue. Nintendo HW has been laced with dumb stuff for ages.

Swapping would work in theory, and be pretty much the only way to do it, but there's a massive problem with that: Flash memory is super durable reading data, but only supports a limited number of write cycles. So, to implement swapping effectively without wearing out your internal storage, the handheld part would need a 32GB or 64GB RAMdisk or Intel Optane memory - which would be ridiculously expensive.

No, since it doesn't have a media player to play Ghostbusters and Rogue One.

I kind of want a Switch, but then I look at my dust covered WiiU and ask myself WTF I'm thinking.

Zelda looks awesome, full stop.

Splatoon 2 looks awesome but I wouldn't play it nearly enough to become any good.

Mario will probably be great.

So there's 2 games, and after that?

You can replay Mario Kart 8 again if you want to.  I'm sure Nintendo will announce Yet Another New Super Mario Bros sometime soon as well.  There might be a Virtual Console game that hasn't been released yet that people can squee about (Mother 3?)

anyone still have that GA-era (pre NeoGaf) n64 meme pic that had the N64 Logo in the middle with various desperate fan quotes around it in comic sans? I remember that one of the quote went like "So how about that Goldeneye?"  another one said "The N64 has mature content, like Conker"

Right off the bat you have the child-like inward facing feet, suggesting submissiveness. No doubt this is an comforting trait for someone who might be frightened by a sexually aggressive woman. But then you have breast that suggest maturity, nurturing and motherhood. They're covered, but in a way that leaves nothing to the imagination (thanks to the convenient boob buckle underneath). The dainty position of the hands. Nuff said. Then, we've got the hair covering one eye thing (and that cowlick that she just can't seem to get down) leaving the other eye to illustrate the non-threatening stare of a vacated mind.
