I believe they are officially opening the impeachment inquiry, which gives congress increased subpoena powers in pursuit of determining if impeachment is warranted.

Anyhow with Ukraine Trump accidentally tripped over a massive corruption cover-up from the day of the coup to the end of Poroshenko's presidency.
Much of which was arranged by his former campaign manager Paul Manafort who the Ukrainians called: "Paul from the CIA" because he was effectively selling the country down the drain to western interests.

The (I think State Department managed) photos that are staged like that for the President fascinate me quite a bit. It's often the same exact orders and stances if it's from the same event. There's a whole set of the Obamas with a bunch of world leaders including some top quality dictators, nothing really changes except the world leaders in the photo, except you kinda start to tell which were the first ones and which ones were like two hours later and they can barely muster the over the top smiles.

Also like half the world leaders take photos like they're from 1880 or something and you don't smile but stare straight ahead at the machine stealing your soul with contempt.
