“Since China’s entrance into the World Trade Organization in 2001, no one has manipulated better or taken advantage of the United States more,” Trump said. “I will not say the word ‘cheated,’ but nobody’s cheated better than China, I will say that.”

See, it can always get worse. As his dementia progresses, eventually all he'll be able to utter will be complete word salad. And it will still make total sense to his disciples.

Are people sleeping on Buttchug? He keeps doing better and better in each successive Iowa poll and is now one of the leaders. Iowa has a good history of selecting the eventual Democrat front-runner. Or is Pete just considered the closest thing to a "hometown boy" and getting that regional bump?

Pete's actually a pretty good candidate

- Not as left as Warren/Sanders
- Not as old as Biden
- Not a long shot crypto fascist like Yang
- Not as unlikable as Kamala / Amy / Hillary
- Not as controversial as Tulsi
- Pretty much scandal free

He's gay yes, but unlike Trump he doesn't gloat about big beautiful generals, boyfriends like Kim Jun Un and handsome and tall members of the Bin Laden family in every other speech.
The only thing Trump has come up with so far is that he can't pronounce his name "Bootedgedge" and he doesn't know who he is.

As for not being well known, there's nothing a couple billion of election campaigning can't fix plus he could pick a famous/well known running mate.
As predicted :idont

This administration is so fucking dumb.

While the human stakes in these cases are enormous, the legal question is so minor that it is unclear why the Court agreed to hear the cases in the first place.

As a general rule, the executive branch must provide a reasoned explanation when it announces a new policy. Three lower courts held that the Trump administration failed to adequately explain its decision to end DACA, and blocked the decision on those grounds.

The lower court’s rationale hinged upon the most lawyerly of distinctions. If the administration had said they were ending DACA for a policy-based reason, then the administration’s decision to end DACA would be largely unreviewable by federal courts. But if the administration offers a legal justification — that is, if they claim that they are ending DACA because they believe DACA to be illegal — then the courts may review that legal determination.

CONCORD, N.H. — The end of former South Carolina governor Mark Sanford’s run for president came under light snow and gray skies.

Standing outside the New Hampshire Statehouse surrounded by 15 members of the media and two staffers, the long-shot Republican closed down his campaign some 65 days after it began.

Holding an oversized trillion-dollar check to represent the national debt, Sanford said his singular focus in his 2020 bid had been to advance the debate on mounting government spending and addressing the deficit.

“But you’ve got to be a realist,” said Sanford, who spoke for just shy of 16 minutes.

Sanford had originally planned to be inside a Statehouse office on Friday, to have his name added to the ballot in the first-in-the-nation primary. Instead, it is where his run ended days after he vowed to spend all of November campaigning here.

“I’m going to suspend my campaign and I’m going to look for other ways to advance these incredibly timely and important but now out-of-season issues,” he said.

Hillary Clinton on Tuesday declined to rule out launching a future presidential campaign after her two failed bids, saying “many, many, many people” were pressuring her to enter the race.

“I, as I say, never, never, never say never,” the former secretary of State said on BBC Radio 5 Live. “I will certainly tell you, I’m under enormous pressure from many, many, many people to think about it.”

https://www.mediaite.com/tv/trish-regan-blasts-trump-impeachment-as-hostile-takeover-democrats-want-to-dehumanize-conservatives/
Quote
“We don’t need to be in this divided place. Of course, when Trish Regan says it the mainstream media goes bonkers. Saying it’s ‘insane warning of violence in the streets,'” Regan complained. “The bottom line is we are in a very bad place. Thank you, Adam Schiff, thank you, Nancy Pelosi, thank you The Squad. There is a total lack of tolerance on the left.”

“If we do not respect one another, if we don’t respect our institutions of government, we have no cohesiveness, we have no spirit, we have no economy, we have no country. This is exactly what our enemies want, divide and conquer,” Regan warned. “Adam Schiff, who is apparently a little stuck in his wannabe, Hollywood crime-thriller movie-writer role, is selling America out. For what? For what he thinks is political glory. It’s not going to get him very far. This hostile takeover of the government is not going to succeed. One, because Americans recognize it for what it is.”

Quote
“Adam Schiff can continue to try and write this horror movie, or Americans, we can take our country back. The left’s attempt to dehumanize conservatives, to dehumanize the middle of this country, it is very deliberate,” Regan said, without mentioning one high-profile political figure who has publicly condemned some Republicans as “human scum” for choosing to oppose Trump.

the margin of errors in the second image are not for the results in the first image, it's for a different question in the poll

the Pete, Biden and Warren groups are ~20% of the sample, the Sanders group is 13% of the sample, therefore the Sanders group has a larger margin of error when they're polled on something (in this case who their second choice is), this increase would continue as you move down the poll to the Klobuchar group and so on, although by the time you get to a group that's 3% of a sample the margin of error is borderline nonsense (it could feasibly be 30-35 points for this sample)

here is the full paragraph for that second image:

here's the net favorable ratings:

We have not really had a candidate enter so late into a race with the resources (or even support) that a Bloomberg or Hillary could muster. Jerry Brown twice entered fairly late in the process but it was more of a shoestring vanity campaign than anything serious. Bob Dole waited until everyone else got in but was always the frontrunner and he also didn't want to participate in many of the events/campaigning so he could focus on his position as Senate Majority Leader.

The modern cycle is quite different though. Ted Kennedy when he challenged Carter launched his campaign in November 1979. Reagan similarly launched his campaign that November. Bill Clinton launched his campaign in October 1991.

All Trump needs to do is to keep the clownshow running long enough so he can do a Trump/Kanye rally in 2020.
And then the Democratic party can close up shop.
