One is a claim about an email we cannot see.

The other is a breakdown of data with the data and argument shown, which you can see for yourself and judge.

This is like the second or third breakdown of Guccifer 2.0 not being a real hacker.

Really? Cuz everyone who actually speaks on record in that doesn't back up that claim. What three sources saw this email? Every time it gets someone on record they say the claim is not true.
Oddly, this isn't the level of skepticism I remember you showing when a "federal source" told Fox News about Seth Rich's laptop, though it was contradicted both on and off the record by subsequent reporting from other outlets.

I said all the sources were unnamed, which weighed them equally. People were arguing one unnamed source mattered more than the other unnamed source.

What gives Rich being the leak credence is the person responsible for publishing the information itself heavily hinting towards it.

The reason I say 2016's a point in favor is Trump got fewer votes and won by swinging some pretty specific demographics, which seems to fit a lot better with Wrath's "Say the right things to the right people who want to believe" formulation.

Plus I remember when everyone thought Howard Dean had the magic sauce.

Dean would have beat Bush if they cable news media hadn't cratered his candidacy.

Except there were reports from more than one outlet, and at least one of them (NBC News) quoted multiple sources, and the Fox story already had another bogus source that the reporter didn't catch. Wasn't impossible that the Fox story would bear out, but there was no reason to give it equal weight at the time and it's been retracted since.

Plus you should read the NYT story more closely. Has anyone denied that specific aspect of the profer email after it was described to them? The "denials" are tweets or statements from earlier in the day reacting to previous reporting on the subject and denying collusion generally.

Quote from: NYT
But Mr. Goldstone, who wrote the email over a year ago, denied any knowledge of involvement by the Russian government in the matter, saying that never dawned on him. “Never, never ever,” he said. Later, after the email was described to The Times, efforts to reach him for further comment were unsuccessful.

That's such a reach. The Trump lawyer response is to the article's claims, I believe.

So basically the Russia collusion depends on the Russian government trying to handle everything through "useful idiots" from Trump down?

Yeah, and he never actually disputes the key fact (that "a Russian government effort to aid his father’s candidacy" was mentioned in Goldstone's email setting up the meeting).

No denial from Kushner or Manafort either.

You would think by now that you would of roundly thrown out whatever process it is that put you in a position where your underlying assumption was to weigh a single Fox News source from a disreputable investigator at the same level as numerous, independently verified sources that contradicted that one. That such an experience might set you off to rethink the way you approach new information? The level of trust you put in right wing outlets?

If not that, that one time, long ago, where you came on here all triggered, regurgitating 4chan rumors that a CNN exposed genocide advocator that made some wrestling memes was really a 15 year old because, again, the internet told you from some shit heap corner you keep going back to as a basis for how you view the world.

Since I do loathe y'all and the NYT article repeats the russia hack claim:

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-07-10/new-research-shows-guccifer-20-files-were-copied-locally-dnc-not-hacked-russians

Throw this in the shit heap pile as well lol.

The intelligence community(FBI, CIA, NSA) both internally and outsourced externally - using three different cyber security firms - examined the evidence  of the 2016 hacking incidents, independently, and all three(along with the internal assessments) came to the same conclusion of high certainty that the Podesta, DNC, and numerous other hacks originated from Russian cyber intelligence arms with direct ties to the Kremlin.

On top of that you have London IC and German IC, in corroboration with London and German security experts, showing identical markers in their own incidents with that of the 2016 malware attacks that they as well(in fact very definitively) linked back to Russia in regards to the German parliament hack in 2015. All of which it should be noted Trump's own selected security and intelligence team has confirmed, under oath in testimony to congress, that they share the opinion of our IC. So to recap, you have the identical malware markers that Germany linked back t0 Russia in 2015 being used in attacks in 2016 in America. Where at this point over half a dozen independent actors have came to the same conclusions.

But once again, ET has the real truth by scraping the shit heap of the right wing corners of the internet where facts, verification, high journalistic standards, and due diligence is alway put above and beyond any and all partisan aims.

spoiler (click to show/hide)
I'll give you this though, you at least dress your nonsense up a bit better then you find on The_Donald or most other communities that consume the dredge heaps on a daily basis. And you know how to get people triggered lol.

So did NYT get the email and then after they published it Trump Jr tweeted it out to make it seem like he wasn't trying to hide anything?

Because this is it. I mean that's all evidence you could possibly need.

Also the wording of the email, where they specifically say where the Hillary dirt came from and everything, is clearly so the Russian government could use it as blackmail on Jr later. Maybe he wants it over with and to face the music/testify? I dono.

And of course who knows how long the FBI investigators had that info. Makes me think they didn't immediately arrest him because they have more evidence they're fleshing out.

In a sense you are probably right. Maybe Mueller attempts to bring charges to Kushner for lying on his security forms. Some of Trump's circle as well.

For anything to really ever happen(with Trump at least) it requires congressional action and as long as the Republicans believe they have their useful idiot(even if he's been anything but useful) and they can still win re-election I don't see it happening.

....Then again I never would of thought Trump's son would be dumb enough to do what he just did. So who the fuck knows.

Bloomberg has an article on the Russian lawyer :

https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2017-07-11/trump-s-low-level-russian-connection

No doubt you'll see some of the spin being that she isn't really an intermediary to the Kremlin. It doesn't do much to exonerate Trump Jr, but it's fairly beneficial to Russia.

It reeks of someone that's never had to worry about getting called out on stuff in the past. A person that's used to doing whatever they want without even considering any ramifications.

Which kinda says something when relatively speaking, Trump's crew is slowly making Nixon look decently competent in comparison. At least Nixon managed to go years before the bottom fell out.
