Is that how it happens? I've always been amazed at how quickly conservatives seem to close ranks around a talking point, no matter how nonsensical. "Biden Rule" was an amazing example of that last year. So there's nothing for this Flynn thing? I was seeing a bit of "Obama told Medvedev he'd have more flexibility after the 2012 election" last night. Guess that didn't get much traction.
Yup, its an echobox.
SCENE: Friday, the unemployment numbers are out, it is September 2016.
6am - in bed
BEEP BEEP BEEP
.....reports today that unemployment has fallen to 4.8% from 4.9%. We have Richard from Breitbart on, Richard, what do these numbers tell us about the economy?
Really nothing Bob, we've known for months now that the Obama administration controls the numbers and...
7:30am, commute to work
...sell your gold today
And we're back with Rush, and we have an economist here today, Patrick, why are some people asking what the real unemployment numbers are?
Well Rush, the problem with the Obama-numbers is that they ignore people whoa re so frustrated with the market they have stopped looking. Let me ask you, if someone is at home collecting welfare are they unemployed? Not according to the government!
12:00am - break room at work
FOX News is on in the background. Audio is off, but the caption reads "Is the real unemployment rate 14%?"
1:30pm - reddit
*Meme shows welfare queen millennial "working" by collecting a disability check*
3:15pm - the water cooler
"Yeah my daughter just got hired I think the economy is picking up"
"Are you crazy Bob? She should thank her lucky stars she found something in the Obama economy, I heard on the radio the real unemployment number is closer to 20%, but Obama forces them to not include the people on welfare because millenials consider welfare a job these days"
3:17pm - Email
Re:Re:Re: Breitbart investigates: Real unemployment is at 24%
6:00pm: TV at home
"Earlier today at his rally in Wisconsin, Donald Trump went off on the nation's job crisis"
"Folks, the economy is in shambles. The real unemployment is at 30%. We need bigly jobs bigly"
This is how Republicans become experts on everything. They hear the same thing from 7 different "independent" sources, so by the end of the day they consider themselves an expert. If the topic comes up at dinner, they can recite the talking point almost word for word. Then they go to sleep thinking theyre so smart and informed, unlike the libtards.
Rinse and repeat.
Every day.
What frustrates me more than anything among Democrat leaders is that they dont turn on AM radio at 5am to hear what the talking points are. And then they spend the day scrambling to find a response. And by the time they find a response, the talking point has become a fact.
Best case scenario, at 7pm the Democrat is on a panel trying to argue what U-6 is vs U-3 is. But by then they've lost, because at no point did anyone talk about how unemployment is down year over year for 7 years straight.
Oh, and the scariest point? Trump is one of them. Every day you could predict his rally cry based on what Hannity, Rush, and Joe talked about in the morning. The sad part is the left only caught on around.....this month?
