I understand why Trump family members lie about basic things - they've done it their entire life with no consequences. But it's amazing that people like Flynn, Manafort, Page, etc have blatantly lied (including to the FBI and other feds) as if they aren't expendable, "normal" people who go to jail for shit like this. Even if they felt like Trump would pardon them, surely they recognize there are enough details involved to make state charges a possibility.

Kushner seems smarter than Trump's kids...but he's so knee deep in all this shit I don't see how he avoids an indictment at some point. Could he be convinced to testify against his father in law? Presumably the feds would handle it like they normally do: hit him with charges on shit that has nothing to do with Russia (his various shady land deals, constantly lying about his assets, etc), then squeeze him to testify.

Manafort just seems like a career piece of shit who was in so deep why bother telling the truth? Make them work for it on the off chance they miss something. Flynn is the one who blows my mind. Career military man turned shill for shady foreign interests in a couple years.
