It's one of the LEAST offensive and damaging things someone can do to protest

Just say what you really feel – "fuck those distinguished black fellows"

why am I not shocked that jaydub is a "shut up and dribble" kind of piece of shit

Feh. Your (attention whoring) boys there are the pieces of shit, and you voluntarily associate with and defend their behavior, so yeah, I guess that makes you one too.

Taking a knee for the national anthem is the most respectful, safe, honestly kinda boring way to protest but it still sends every braindead slackjawed moron into a fit of rage and thus should be commended.

Rosa Parks was such an asshole. Why couldn't she just sit her ass down and not disturb the peace on public transport? What a clown.

You're not "telling it like it is," you're just getting disproportionately upset over minor shit.

Yeah, "MAKE THE FOOTBALL MAN STAND!" isn't close to interesting as Q.

How do you suggest people who are upset and outraged about police violence towards the black community try to bring awareness?  Popular athletes/sports and politics have been intertwined for a century, and its one of the most effective ways to inform the country of injustices.

I'll fucking wait for a reasonable suggestion.

But knowing you, you probably will just blame the black people being murdered in the streets.

There is the time-honored tradition of libertarian activism: getting your ass whupped by your doctor neighbor as the result of a gardening dispute, presumably while yelling "THIS VIOLATES THE NON-AGGRESSION PRINCIPLE! SURELY THIS CAN BE SOLVED THROUGH COASIAN BARGAINING!"

This guy is awesome. I get early Obama vibes watching this. He needs to beat Cruz.

Cool vid...but seems obvious he's taking more to liberals outside of Texas than actual people who actually live in Texas. He's gonna lose bro. He gets lots of out of state donations and RTs on twitter but Texas is still Texas.

I can’t believe someone can get so triggered about some stupid song and whether somebody stands or sits or kneels or shoots big six rope loads into the grass and rolls around in it like a dog in shit.

I have my doubts that the kneeling is particularly effective at changing opinions,  or that Kaepernick is a really great spokesperson in general, but I really couldn’t muster up even an ounce of give a shit for whether or not a player, audience member, or beer vendor stands or sits or whatever for that stupid ass song.

Honestly I think Jaydubs is more pissed cause employers don't have absolute power over players when it comes to these NFL protests :lol

also where's the outrage for this

(Image removed from quote.)
Trump actually had 3 of these anthem snafu's.

This one, the one where they played the anthem in a stadium as he was chatting with Hannity and they didn't seem to recognize the song  :dead
And thirdly a time when the anthem played and he sorta sang along but clearly not knowing what the fuck the lyrics were.  :doge

Remember when Pence was going to an NFL game and they told the travelling press to just wait outside, cause he was planning to be spontaneously outraged by kneeling players? Good times.

Care to expand jaydumbya

He's running in Texas with statements like the one in that video.

I'm happy to explain to you since you are demonstrably stupid and need the assistance.

He may well lose.

However, that was an absolutely outstanding answer on the NFL kneeling question. And in terms of charisma, I was getting 08 Obama vibes.

Not really, it's a stupid answer, he supports the clowns who are kneeling and that doesn't play in Texas - and it shouldn't play anywhere.

Yes, you have freedom of speech, and as football players they even have a big microphone so they can say what they want and get an audience off the field, but don't bring your off-topic political drama to work and shit up the place.  Shut up and play the game.  The coaches and team owners don't have to put up with that nonsense anymore than my workplace would like it if when I was out representing them just stood on a soapbox and started on libertarian talking points rather than just doing my damn job.

Resettis and their ilk are welcome to a different opinion.

Trump sucks.

It's a thing you do when the anthem plays and it plays at every game.  Google fu says they've been having it before every game since the 40s.  The players used to stay in the locker room during that part, and they should probably just go back to doing that if it's that much of a problem.  But if they're going to be on the field, maybe they could avoid being shitbirds in public?

Didn't the league just past standards requiring exactly that, stay off the field in the locker room if you're not able to avoid making the organization look like ass because of your flair for the dramatic?

Maybe tell your guy in the White House to follow that statement too.

My point is that jaydubya isn't even a Trump supporter, which makes your "sir, will you answer for Drumpf's disgusting crimes?" bit absurd.

Nobody itt (openly at least) is for Trump, even the shitbirds like Assy. Maybe there are some in the Other Forums thread, you should go and find out.

Even if no one kneeled, he would have had to leave as soon as women who were not his wife began gyrating on the sidelines.

We've had off topic political drama on the field ever since we had the national anthem and all the jingoistic pageantry that goes along with it. It's just a harmless protest intended to bring attention to injustice that in no way affects the job or duties they are being asked to perform per their contracts, but you know, white identity feels and all. In a world of less fragility by people like you, it wouldn't be materialy different than Dana from accounting speaking before a team picnic a few times to ask for donations to some underfunded cancer research her nephew was a victim of. Sure, you could make a thing about it and contort some dumb logic to it, but normal, well adjusted people that have empathy aren't going to get all up in their feels about it.

Though I have no real interest in nitpicking it, the NFL players do have a good bit more leverage than the vast majority of employees in this country. Which is why in part draconian punishment is likely to remain unsuccessful, as much as the Jerry Jones types would like to see it league wide.

"white identity feels"
"fragility"
"injustice"

Breh.  Nah.  They're just being assholes.

It’s hard not to conclude someone is deep in their feels when a person silently kneeling during a meaningless nationalist ritual to bring attention to a cause they see as important triggers them into seeing their harmless behavior as offensive and half a step away from fantasizing about their employers putting a boot to them.

But really though, Jaydubya going nuclear over the blahs not knowing their place and refusing to let the whole police brutality/murdering thing go is pretty fucking revealing.

Was he always like this and I never really noticed or is he one of the people who seems to have gotten emboldened by Trump and is now revealing his true power?

Ctrl+F "going nuclear"

0 of 0 results found

Of the long list of things from bad to horrible to fucking monstrous to get upset about, this is pretty minor, it's just gotten irritating to read people defending their indefensible jackassery and calling anyone who doesn't defend the indefensible racist... which is to be expected, of course, as it is reflexive, lazy, and mindless.

Regardless, that answer will not play well here.

Bitch, are you actually using a variant of the "I'm not a racist, since I never explicitly used the n-word in public" defense? Cause I never said you literally used the phrase "going nuclear". In fact, I don't think anyone who's ever gone nuclear actually used that phrase to describe themselves.

Anyway, the point is that you were indeed pretty bothered and triggered by it. Let's look at some of the shit you said to describe the protestors:

Not really, it's a stupid answer, he supports the clowns who are kneeling and that doesn't play in Texas - and it shouldn't play anywhere.

Feh. Your (attention whoring) boys there are the pieces of shit, and you voluntarily associate with and defend their behavior, so yeah, I guess that makes you one too.

Black assholes are still assholes and the oh-so-predictable defamatory nonsense from regressive racebaiters like you has never been a deterrent from telling it like it is.

Thanks for the words in my mouth.  Of course tax dollars should not go for such things.  That already went without saying.

They have freedom of speech, but when they're using it to be jackasses other people are welcome to dislike it and the market is responding because people don't.

That's some pretty heavy criticism. And now you're playing it off as "oh well i never really cared one way of the other lol".
