If there is separation of powers in the US why is impeachment not handled by the Supreme Court?

The Senate has approved a $738 billion defense bill — one of the most expensive military spending bills in U.S. history. The overwhelming bipartisan vote to approve the two spending packages, which total $1.4 trillion, now sends the packages to President Trump. The bill includes 12 weeks of paid parental leave for civilian federal workers. For the first time in 20 years, the bill includes $25 million to study gun violence. The spending bill also repeals three Obamacare taxes. It does not ban U.S. support for the Saudi-led war on Yemen. The bill also does not prevent Trump from using military funds for the construction of his border wall.

Speaking Thursday in the Oval Office, Trump said it was “unconstitutional” for Pelosi to not to submit the articles of impeachment to the Senate.“To me, it doesn’t feel like impeachment,” Trump added.

Several passages from the New Testament of the Bible tell how Jesus appeared before Pontius Pilate, a Roman governor, before being crucified. During Passover, Pilate freed any prisoner the people asked for. Jesus was accused of blasphemy and treason for stating he was the King of the Jews. From Matthew Chapter 27, on the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ website:Now Jesus stood before the governor, and he questioned him, "Are you the king of the Jews?" Jesus said, "You say so."And when he was accused by the chief priests and elders, he made no answer. Then Pilate said to him, "Do you not hear how many things they are testifying against you?"But he did not answer him one word, so that the governor was greatly amazed.
I don't know why someone who regularly waxes philosophical about the benefits of totalitarianism and silencing/eliminating undesirables like yourself
