Yes, Americans didn't go for Warren because...*checks* sexism. Keep trying, feminists.

Did sexism hurt Amy or Tulsi? What about Kamala?

One of them is completely ignored while running a sad campaign and trying to sue Kilary. The other two dropped out before Warren...so yes? Sexism may definitely contribute to their failings.

So it has nothing to do with Kamala's prosecutor record, Klobuchar being a piece of white bread, and Tulsi....being Tulsi.

That’s the „beauty“ of these accusations, you can never validly verify or falsify them in a meaningful way.
But since several countries which lag behind in women’s rights had female head of states and I refuse to believe that the US is the most sexist place in the world, I believe sexism to be a secondary or tertiary issue.

I'm sure there are people sexist and use that against them, but these supporters are saying it's the main reason Warren isn't taking off. Meanwhile, she has flip flopped on almost literally the entirely of her platform like a zombie Hillary Clinton. She pretended to be a native American. It's ridiculous say that the main reason people aren't voting for her is sexism. There is nothing to conclusively come to that point and just divides people. Same thing with people saying people didn't go for Kamala because she's a black woman.

to discount any sexism in her lack of popularity seems a little dumb, but her campaign was also full of cringe. however, if i got to choose i'd take her less radical keynesian pro market leftism more akin to the nordic model to what i understand of berns plans. probably was too nuanced and milquetoast for americans yearning for more radical change, and too radical for those who want to maintain the status quo.

Quote
"The food court at Costco has long been a destination for bargain lovers, whether for the hefty slices of $1.99 pizza, $1 churros, or the famed inflation-proof hot dog and soda combo that has remained $1.50 for the past 35 years.

Since the warehouse chain began selling hot dogs in 1984, anyone could partake in the store’s fast-food deals — with or without a Costco annual membership. That’s about to change.

Beginning mid-March, the retailer will require an active membership (currently $60) to order at its food courts, according to multiple media outlets."
Nationalize Costco so I can still have $1.50 hotdogs and a drink.  :maf

The Secret Service is scrambling plans to provide protection to presidential candidates after protesters stormed the stage of former Vice President Joe Biden's victory rally in Los Angeles late Tuesday in a harrowing scene.

According to a Secret Service official, the agency is reconsidering the timetable for rolling out campaign bodyguards after the Los Angeles incident, which saw Biden's wife, a private security guard and several senior campaign staffers rush in to defend the candidate.

On Wednesday, the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee urged Chad Wolf, the acting Homeland Security secretary, and four congressional leaders who compose the Candidate Protection Advisory Committee to begin considering dispatching the Secret Service protection, citing the protesters Tuesday night.

“This thing could be over for all intents and purposes in three weeks,” said Paul Maslin, a top Democratic pollster who worked on the presidential campaigns of Jimmy Carter and Howard Dean. “It’s done unless Joe makes some horrible mistake. He will win blacks 75-25 minimum from here on in. He doesn’t have Hillary’s negatives. And people want to beat Trump big time. This race is over.”
Quote
“Biden can finish Bernie off in Michigan,” said Michael Ceraso, who worked for Sanders in 2016 and was Pete Buttigieg’s New Hampshire director before leaving his campaign last year.

Biden, Ceraso said, “understands coalition building is about compromise, which is going to help in Michigan, where the electorate is economically diverse, largely white, with a strong African American voting population.”
Quote
Barry Goodman, a Biden bundler in Michigan, said Biden on Monday will attend a fundraiser in the state whose hosts include Goodman, former Michigan Gov. James Blanchard, and Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan.

“Everybody wants to get on the bandwagon now,” Goodman said. “I think if Joe wins [Michigan] by 10, Bernie may not leave yet. But the following weeks, when he loses by 10 in Florida, Mississippi and Georgia, I think it’s done.”

Goodman said he is “getting private emails from people who said, ‘I’ve never done this for president before — given any money. But put me in for a grand, a grand or $2,800 … People are coming out of the woodwork.”
Starting to get excited about maybe possibly potentially voting for Marianne!

Judge James Boasberg issued a 19-page opinion on Wednesday, ordering that “no DOJ or FBI personnel under disciplinary or criminal review relating to their work on FISA applications shall participate in drafting, verifying, reviewing, or submitting such applications to the Court.”

“Any finding of misconduct relating to the handling of FISA applications shall be promptly reported to the Court,” the U.S. District Court judge added.
Quote
The judge also ordered new oaths to be sworn by DOJ and FBI officials working on FISA applications going forward.

FBI applicants and DOJ attorneys will now be required to affirm, "To the best of my knowledge, this application fairly reflects all information that might reasonably call into question the accuracy of the information or the reasonableness of any FBI assessment in the application, or otherwise raise doubts about the requested findings.”

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/bloomberg-attracted-few-votes--but-his-ads-still-grabbed-the-attention-of-many-kids/2020/03/04/3e4748b0-5e37-11ea-9055-5fa12981bbbf_story.html
Quote
Former New York mayor Mike Bloomberg, who dropped out of the Democratic primary Wednesday, did not attract many voters. But his impact on the 2020 race may live on in the pre-voting demographic — those 7-to-17-year-olds who have his name, slogan and platform indelibly etched on their hearts, minds and iPads.

Caleb Hamm, 13, of Arlington estimates he has seen “at least hundreds” of Bloomberg’s ads while watching gaming tutorials on YouTube and can rattle off, with ease, the former mayor’s various policy prescriptions.

“He’s going to beat Trump — which is what they all say — he will raises taxes on the wealthy and increase payments to the middle class, and he will lower prices on health care, and change their payments,” Hamm recounted as he headed home from seventh grade on Wednesday.
Quote
“I’m really seeing the ads when I’m watching YouTube, and I’m just seeing these ads that are telling me all these things about him,” said Matthew Foley, 8, a Silver Spring third-grader. “I learned that he’s going to end the war on science, and he’s going to help kids with asthma — and I have asthma.”

And from Joshua Chapin, 9, a fourth-grader in Highland Township, Mich.: “He was the mayor of New York City since Sept. 11, and I also know that he is paying a ton of money to get a ton of ads.”

Chapin, who said he usually saw the mayor’s ads while watching videos on YouTube, added that he also picked up “a few things” about Trump along the way. “Like there was this one ad where it had three different things that Trump had promised at the beginning of his career, but then ended up breaking the promise,” Chapin said.

Bryan Chapin, Joshua’s father, said that he and his wife had been talking about the Democratic primary when his son just jumped in — “but the only one he knew was Bloomberg.”

Chapin, a supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), added, “I was kind of surprised that he actually knew who Bloomberg was — surprised and irritated, but that’s just my personal opinion.”
Quote
Heather Foley, 8-year-old Matthew’s mom, said that not only was her son inspired by Bloomberg — “All of a sudden he was very passionate about it; Mike’s going to do all these things, he’s not going to build the wall” — but his friends, too, picked up on the craze.

“And then all the other kids are talking about it, like he’s this big hero coming to save them,” said Foley, a supporter of Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.).

Julia Burger, 13, and Josh Burger, 12, siblings in Tuscon, said they were generally irked by Bloomberg’s ads, which they also experienced mainly on YouTube.

“I have a limited amount of screen time and I normally spend it on YouTube, and most every other ad has been about Mike Bloomberg, and it’s a little annoying because, yes, they are skippable, but I’ve seen the same things a lot,” said Josh Burger, who usually watches gaming or Rubik’s Cube channels.

Josh said he is generally a Trump supporter — “I don’t want to offend anyone,” he added quickly — and is most familiar with just three candidates: Bloomberg, Sanders and the president.

He expressed skepticism about some of the content of the Bloomberg spots.

“The only thing I’ve really learned is that in some of his ads he says he was the mayor after 9/11, and I’ve heard from other sources that he wasn’t, so I don’t think he’s being truthful in his ads, but I could be wrong,” Josh said.

His sister, Julia, summed up her Bloomberg impressions more succinctly: “I learned that he is in the Democratic primary elections, and I also learned that he’s very annoying.”
Quote
Kelly Sadler, the communications director for America First, the official pro-Trump super PAC, recalled putting her twin 8-year-old boys — Lucas and Marcus — to bed one night, when Lucas told her, out of the blue, “Mom, you want to know something? Mike can get it done.”

“I thought he was talking about a kid in his class — a high achiever or something or a friend — and then Marcus, the other twin, was like, ‘No mom, it’s Michael Bloomberg!”

But Marcus, she said, knowing she works on behalf of the president and sensitive to her loyalties, added, “But mom, we know Trump is getting it done.”
No one man should have all this power.

Some times actors push social boundaries forward. Weird complaint. George Bush gave Hank Aaron the same award. Shit was deserved.

God dammit, here I am getting patriotic about a country I hate.

Fuck you Transhuman.
