bringing up shit from the relationship thread is pretty low breh  :-\

Advocating for a virus to spread Willy nilly is a lot more depraved than squirting some relationship insults someone's way  :-*

imagine making the posts he makes and then pretending to be surprised when he's shitted on in return. maybe he wants the insults so badly because it's all he has. if his wife won't fuck him and constantly looks down on him maybe its turned him into a sub and reading insults on the bore dot com is the only way he can get his sad little prick hard. :lol

We just passed the 7-day mark since the White House released the "15 Days to Stop the Spread" notice.  California, Illinois, and New York have had their shutdowns for a grand total of 5 days.  There you have it: We can't do a voluntary quarantine for one fucking week.  We don't have widespread testing, new cases haven't stabilized, and we're right at the beginning of the healthcare system being inundated with cases and subsequently lighting on fire.  New York has 32,000 cases.  Half as much as the disaster in Italy.  It's been ONE week.  No other leader in the developed world in their right mind would relax the shut down at this point.  No real stimulus announced to mollify fear for Americans yet.   This guy is an animal.

It's not like Trump can override them, same as he's limited in imposing a nationwide anything. Although I personally would enjoy a case that comes out of the federal government suing the states to try and prevent them from using local police powers.

Right.  That's essentially why he's pushing so hard against this, I believe.  He knows he's impotent to control the economic circumstances in this situation because he has no jurisdiction in the most powerful economic centers of this country.   It's just the mixed messaging and incoordination Americans are getting from Trump, in between shilling for his sycophants, that is an unforgivable confusion.

I wouldn't be too surprised if Trump didn't understand the whole "exponential" thing. 6 figures level of fatalities in the US without any mitigating action is not out of possibility and I don't think there's any way to spin that.

The reason Margaret Sullivan suddenly wants to shut down the presidential briefings is that, for an hour or so every day, the American people have gotten to see the president in action, up close and personal. For themselves. And what they see is not the hateful, ignorant bigot of the liberal media narrative.

What they see is a very determined, very smart guy who, like various presidents before him with names like Bush 43, Reagan, Kennedy, Truman, FDR, and Lincoln, is suddenly thrust into an explosive situation that no one saw coming. In that respect, like FDR dealing with Pearl Harbor or Bush with 9/11 or JFK with the Cuban Missile Crisis, they are not interested in hurling invective at the president in question. They are about rallying around a president who quite obviously is working hard to bring all Americans together to solve a serious national emergency

And Pelosi said the Senate deal would now include a top priority of House Democrats: better oversight of a proposed $500 billion loan fund to help struggling industries. She said the new bill would include the creation of a dedicated inspector general and a five-member congressional committee to ensure business loans are used appropriately.
Quote
“They feel that they're going to get there.  . . .  It's working out the details right now, but it looks very positive,” he said. Democrats have secured $100 billion in funding to bolster the U.S. health care system, one of their key goals at the outset of negotiations, Manchin said.

And Pelosi and other Democrats appeared heartened by what they described as a new commitment to better oversight of the $500 billion loan fund and other assistance in the package. “I’m very happy that it appears the Senate is taking the House language of oversight,” she added.

Gov. Jared Polis signed a bill Monday making Colorado the 22nd state to abolish the death penalty, and he also commuted the sentences of the three killers on death row.

They will instead serve life prison sentences without the possibility of parole, Polis said.

Lousy legislation.  Instead of banning the death penalty, it should have been reformed.  How about guilty beyond a reasonable f*****g doubt? I'll leave it to the experts to figure that one out.
Quote
Soooo...now that the Governor just overturned a Judge"s sentence of a case we move to the next "progression" down the road to reverse something else and then another something else.  Let's just dismantle our state justice system and let the Governor make all verdicts.

Since the murders by Nathan Dunlap was completely caught on video which shows just how heinous it was, Governor Polis should be required to watch it at least once every day he is in office to give all those murder victims' family some sense of penalty he should endure for reversing this.
Quote
Oh great!  Now the virus can kill us and the released killers can too!  Thank you Polis!

It really isn't funny for us living here, man.  Dr. Oz is now subbing in as the medical representative for these addresses.  I guess the CDC experts were too pro-quarantine for Trump's liking.  So now the guy who hocks cinnamon pills and mint herbs for erections on his talk show is now addressing the nation in the affront of medical expertise.  NYC needs 40,000 ventilators from the government, but only got 400.   This would be hilarious in some far away cosmic high school remedial philosophy class, but not the place I'm living in.

Hopefully the worse things get now, the better things will be afterwards in terms of health care, worker's rights, etc. Also, there's probably going to be a drop in carbon emissions this year. I don't want people to die, but if people won't wash their hands or keep their distance from others, at some point you just have to chalk up what is happening to humanity's collective sin.

There is no collective sin.  It's a virus.  There is no correlation between the morality and pro-social behavior of those that survive and those that die.  An elderly person who does everything right can still die to Jay Dubya, who believes in "muh 0-sum liberty to be a carrier for disease is as enforceable as speeding tickets".  And they'll die choking on their pulmonary fluid without a ventilator. There's only really specific individual sin here.
