What I'm more worried about is that we're going to lose a lot of internet history. YouTube partly acts as an archive.
There's plenty channels that no longer get new videos and have long been abandoned by the owner but have this one cool remix or stand-up act.
Or channels that upload old VHS footage and other vintage stuff which don't necessarily have a lot of viewers.
For example, there's this cool video about computer graphics in the 80's and a lot of history and documentary stuff.

If they enforce only what's economically viable then you get less and less original content and more kiddo's crying over banned Fortnite accounts.
There's also no easy way to back up this stuff as the victims of ISIS discovered when YouTube started deleting the evidence of war crimes.

Off-topic but I'd add that they also accept physical media (VHS, audio cassettes, Blu-Ray, etc). Even if it's commercial media they store it until a time where it's legally possible to allow public access.

I went to get da chicken sammy and they were forced to serve orders in the order that they were taken. so no matter what you ordered or how quickly your order got done, you still had to wait for no reason. people were coming in and trying to order regular chicken that was just sitting there and being told it was a 35-40 min wait because people get too mad about someone behind them in line getting their food first

I have no doubt that the cost of housing and education are lowering fertility rates, but the author does not support this (or her other claims) with data, and then she shoehorns climate change into the discussion (and not how climate change will actually influences the fertility rates of those experiencing the direct consequences of it). Is there any evidence birthstrikers--a demographic that doesn't have children anyway (liberal, non-religious city dwellers with 4+ years of post-secondary education)--are having any meaningful impact on fertility rates?
