It's just been a little over a decade since the last time the housing market completely collapsed and left thousands of people underwater.
AirBnB was basically considered free money by mostly the GenX'ers and Boomers.
You purchase a second 'starter', 'social' or 'student' property 'cheap' because millennials ain't got no money, you rent it out on AirBnB and you hire a stoner or ask your retired uncle to do the minimal maintenance.
Once you've rented the first property for a season you buy another and another and another. Your monthly payments go up, but so does your income. Plus in good time you'll own all those properties and can sell them for even more money.
With the free money you can do whatever, like go on vacation, open a shop or restaurant (that doesn't need to be profitable), have your own app made or simply spend it all on shoes.
You don't need to know anything about business, marketing, sales, just read a 'how to get rich' blog and dump your offer on AirBnB with some nice photographs and you're in business.
Risk and responsibility? I DESERVE THIS, the government should just bail me out
Guess who also own a ton of this property, politicians and mostly politicians wives.
