Y’all acting like this is a one time thing. I know of a situation with a female Gaffer, who shall remain nameless, who was asked out on a dinner and drinks date with Evilore, but she felt so uncomfortable with him and the situation she turned it into a GAF meet up. Lol

Those meet ups were never about him meeting the male members, from what I was told. Which is fine, whatever, but in conjunction with his history of being a womanizer and allegations of sexual assault, he was basically using GAF as his hook up pool while raking in ad money that never went to improvements to the forum, to the people who actually contributed, mods or content creators.

I kinda wonder about this as well. Not only did they have a forum up fast, but the "meme quality" about the name, having ERA replace GAF, all that stuff, seems like it took more than a day to come up with. But then again, I know very little about how it happened so maybe it was all hashed out on a discord channel. But the tin foil hat wearing part of me wonders if they wanted to migrate to a new forum system, knew it would cause problems when they did, and this was a way to super excite a big chunk of the user base to voluntarily migrate themselves

It looks like a lot of people would like to have their accounts banned because it can be a force of habit to visit GAF. Here's a good tip.

1. Make a new email account. Make sure you use a random password for this email that you only hold onto temporarily.

2. Change your GAF account to use this email.

3. Make a new GAF password, which is also literally random keystrokes that you don't know.

4. Log out of GAF and make sure you don't save your password.

5. Throw away your new email password.

There you go. You now can't log into GAF and you can no longer reset your password.
