There's a definite need for a forum that is more bore-like in terms of open discussion. Obviously, it won't be here, because it's quite clear that demi is happy with things as they are and that's a *good* thing - part of the charm of The Bore is the smaller community who mostly take all posts in good faith, even if they are diametrically opposed to the viewpoints within. I can, however, see the growth of a new, more-permissive forum out of the rubble of GAF. It'll never be best-GAF, but it'd be busy enough.
RPG Codex fills that gap, but it tilts to the right, with proud Trump voters aplenty. If you can bear to hear them lament modern gaming (and life) all the damn time, that is.
Yup, GAF is done. Although I have to say, I've barely browsed ResetEra this past week. Just don't care anymore. The forum seems fine and all, but it's just...eh.
Yeah. I thought I might revitalize some interest in the big forum experience, but I just went straight to hangouts and added some threads to my watchlist. As with GAF, I will only end up reading DeutschGAF and the PoE thread (once it actually picks up again, cough) and skim the others.
I mean not hating on the guy but why the hell would they make a 17 year old born in the year 2000 a moderator on a big forum. No wonder my conversation with him is also terrible.
Because he'll gladly do it for free and has the time to spare.
