Normally I'd feel bad;  I have a strong sense of empathy and not a big grudge holder.  But man, Amir0x really rubbed me the wrong way.  An account ago on GAF I was perma'd and the thread where things went down (which was pretty tame) had all of my posts deleted.  Amir0x was there to both dance on my account's grave and completely make up shit about what was said.  Likely because I was one of the people who called him out over him buying tons of drugs shortly after the "give my Mom money" fiasco.

Story goes:
- I got temp banned and I thought it was pretty dumb, was one of their ridiculous 90 day bans or whatever, I hadn't broken any rules was just getting piled on for nothing and they chose to ban the poster with the unpopular opinion as they tend to do
- I had my wife PM EviLore asking him to reconsider and had her link to the fact I was actually personally attacked by 3-4 people who called me names and whatnot.
- EviLore's response was to perma-ban both my account and my wife's account, swell guy
- So I had a friend who also had an account on GAF post that I was perma'd, and that my wife was also perma'd for merely PM'ing EviLore
- They of course deleted all of that, and then AMir0x was there to tell everyone that I had all these alts I was posting under,
 and that I'd used those alts to "account suicide"

I'm a friend of Phil's so I'm definitely a little biased, but imo this is blown out of proportion. I won't say much other than this isn't the reason he's in therapy. He's had issues with depression for a long time and has been seeing therapists long before this, and has discussed that publicly (so I'm not outing him on this or anything like that).

The part that bugged me was the "illicit" stuff that would be happening behind the scenes and covered up when everyone acted so differently in public.

And one prime responsibility is to support a healthy market with competition. There are even institutions to avoid syndicates. There are not many players in the devoted gaming scene. i'll ignore the assumption that EA didn't support the Dreamcast specifically to spite Sega (which then became a third party which put its games out on every platform EA was and directly damaged EA's sports lines for years, including driving EA effectively from the field in the second most popular American video game sports line, the NBA) for reasons beyond business to use another example

tons of Western publishers told Nintendo to fuck off for years of their publishing practices not solely the cost of cartridge prices, this created Sega's market share in the first place which led to Sony's eventual dominance, so Nintendo not only dropped the price on cartridges but their publishing limitations across all their platforms which led to EA/Activision/Ubisoft/etc. among others not only putting out ports of most of their PS1 titles on the N64, but the market for the GB/GBC/GBA being flooded with so much absolute garbage that multiple gaming publications outright stated they were no longer going to bother to even attempt to keep up with it and a number even showed pictures of the pile of shit they would receive for the GBC/GBA especially, Nintendo Power didn't even bother to fill their page count with them during the N64/GCN famines!
