Satire is taking on the familiar characteristics of a genre and playing them up in order to mock said genre. Cabin in the woods is a satire of horror movies. Spaceballs is a satire of sci fi flicks. The Colbert Report is a satire of political talking heads. Get Out is a satire of... closeted racist northeastern liberals? If it were a send up of shit like The Blindside or other back-patting white people movies like that, sure, but it's a thriller
