Why is it that people can't separate fantasy from reality these days? Playing as the empire or a bad guy doesn't make you a bad guy. WTF.

There's a clear reason why many people are afraid of Muslim expansion and it's actually quite simple.

It's called history.

It seems like some people don't understand the difference between reality and fiction, or more particularly between real humans and ones who only exist as a construct on paper, canvas, or computer monitor.
They understand, but disagree with your premise. Personally, I don't want to see porn of fictional children, either. And anyone who does is suspect to me.

:heh

Black people have our own opinions. But a black person being mad a video game had a diverse cast? A black person? :lol They might be apathetic to it but consider it part of the problem? :lol In a medium that is historically overwhelmingly lacking in black characters? Every black person I know who has saw Mafia had a similar reaction. I cannot fathom a black dude being MAD that entertainment is trying to become more diverse and include black people. Not all black people think the same, but we all agree that representation and seeing people who look like you is important. At most, you'll find an ambivalent black person who doesn't care. But being mad at it? Saying it's part of the problem? :heh I can sniff out a cac pretending to be black online like a fox hound and that person ain't black. The only kind of diversity black folks have a problem with is showing LGBT people as normal. That dude is 90% most likely a cac.

Except you're only proving this guy right with your ridiculous strawman. He's not annoyed because there's "diversity" he's annoyed because of the agenda pushing. And for the record, I don't know in what liberal bubble you've been living but I know plenty of black men specifically that fucking hate with passion SJ Ws and their politics. Not so far as to support republicans but yeah, the contempt is obvious.

Goddamn, he's right, they did replace racial determinism with historical one. The more you analyze these lunatics the more you realize how much in common they have with conservatives.

Is it not ok to be weary of a certain ideology that is the antithesis to western principles to spread all across your neighborhood? I guess only when it's a white christian faith then you can shit all over it lol.

It's fucking hilarious watching the uproar over some Christian bakery not want to bake cake for a gay couple in Alabama or whatever but then watch those same people defend some Muslims for far worse bigotry.  :rofl

Just cleaning this up so it doesn't become a quote pyramid.

What strikes me actually is how little credence is given to things like Obama being elected. Sure racism hasn't ended, but it means something right? It's not nothing.

There's some argument that it's actually increased since Obama, if not in numbers then increased in ferocity. My first instinct is that for some reason that tribe feels threatened and the outpouring of behavior is in response to that. What threatens them? Not sure.

Islam is a genuine fear for a number of people for obvious reasons. Right-wing populism has seen a significant upsurge particularly in Europe, which I imagine is fueled by Islamic terrorism and the migrant crisis. A lot of people no longer have the stomach for it any more. The levels of immigration into Europe has been absolutely unprecedented over the last decade, and people are now worried about what it means for the future. The thing is, the Left doesn't have any answers, in fact the mainstream political parties from all sides don't really have any answers, which is why there has been an upsurge in populism to begin with.

What is clear though is, the Left no longer speaks for white working-class voters and this is a big problem. They are only exasperating the problem.

Historically, the current wave of refugees isn't even that big in most countries. Big cities are effected the most and that's where right wings had the smallest growth. If there's a failure on the left, then it's that it apparently wasn't possible to properly educate people in rural areas. It's like a left behind cosmos now inhabited by distinguished mentally-challenged rednecks who are afraid of brown people that they've only ever heard of, who don't understand globalisation and vote the fear mongering parties that will fuck them over the most, because they lack basic critical thinking.

White flight, and rurals are well aware of the shithole state many cities are in. Carry on though if you want to keep getting your shit packed in on poll day.

I mean it's a forum for GAF refugees so obviously option #2. none of these types of threads operate in good faith, whether they're about trans people, race, etc. they exist so the self-proclaimed morally upright can fill their virtue signal quota for the day and bludgeon those who interrupt it. been like that for years.

I can understand being personally uncomfortable viewing certain things.

I can name off two animes that I started watching and didn't finish because I noped the fuck out.

No Game, No Life had a brother sister pair as main characters and the girl was like 10 or 11 and the camera had lingering panty shots.  Nope.

Dance in the Vampire Bund had that "well actually I'm thousands of years old" routine, but the little girl-looking vampire was sexually provocative in dress and behavior.  Nope.

These things are fine to exist and honestly if other people like them, that's entirely their business.  I am personally skeeved, but whatever.

The false equivocation being made there still bothers me.

Agreed when it comes to No Game No Life and pretty much every other show I've seen, but I'm OK with it in Dance in the Vampire Bund, as it actually makes sense and is important in the context of that story and is for the most part well executed. Mina really only teases Akira, who knows what she actually looks like, and only around people who also know what she actually looks like. And Akira is still kinda uncomfortable with it, which is exactly what she wants (to a degree) - because she's a bit of a sadist and likes to tease her would-be boyfriend, but mostly because she's frustrated that she has to disguise as a little girl and can't be with Akira. It's almost a subversion, in a way. Not really sure what to make of some of the artworks, though...

So someone got banned for mentioning that rule 34 was a thing.

And it was for pedophilia, because the chick from The Last Of Us (haven't played / who kinda looks like Ellen Page) was supposed to be a young teen.

Here's the thing though - she's also a fictional construct made entirely of polygons.

I mean if the guy had linked porn, yeah okay, that's account suicide most places, but just mentioning that fanart porn exists of a video game character?   ???

It seems like some people don't understand the difference between reality and fiction, or more particularly between real humans and ones who only exist as a construct on paper, canvas, or computer monitor.

I don't get it.  Reminds me of the bullshit Besada pulled re: Summer Lesson or how GAF banned talk of lewd Japanese games.  All the while Amirox actually being a pedo.

Not sure why reeee is at fault for this. Polygons and drawings = Actual Children is the current legal standard in most of the western world. I don't blame anyone for wanting no part in taking the principled stance here.

It really is the last of hills worth dying on.

It always seemed weird to jail people over drawings of fantasy characters even if they're young. I don't know where the law falls on that kind of thing these days. If you're drawing pics of real kids I can understand that, though. I imagine most people into the anime stuff probably aren't into the real thing (hence the 2D > 3D meme), but I can definitely understand being cautious around those sorts.

You can't deny that religion didn't play an important part in it or that religious zealots aren't more prone to violence or being easily manipulated by opportunist psychopaths, which btw partly explains while the Middle Ages fucking sucked.

You can't deny that religion didn't play an important part in it or that religious zealots aren't more prone to violence or being easily manipulated by opportunist psychopaths, which btw partly explains while the Middle Ages fucking sucked.

Eh, religion was such an ingrained part of all human life it seems very reductive to try and pin it as the primary mover in the shit show that was all of human history let alone the middle ages. If you look at say, the Mongol invasions, responsible for arguably the biggest loss of life due to war in that entire era, religion was if anything, a tiny part of a murderous whole. The Khans were not religious by any real modern sense of the word, and they slaughtered tens of millions.

Humans all have that part of their mind where faith is the primary motivating factor. As religion becomes less and less popular, we're seeing political ideology pick up the slack. I mean look at Maoist China, or modern North Korea and tell me those weren't religious.

lmao "she" doesn't do anything, "she" only act and look like that because the author is a lolicon.

Dunno. He's a hentai artist, but I don't think he's done loli stuff? He seems to like his girls quite curvy. Then again, I've not seen much of his other works. Either way, outside of a few questionable artworks, I found it more bizarre than pandering. And I assume that was the intention.

And the wolves keep the sheep skin cover while you self congratulate with fighting a group that most of them are probably only interested in 2D *

I dunno...

*(thought I will concede that there is also many that are legit creeps)
That's where we differ. I don't buy that they are only interested in 2D. And doing this  :donot in response hardly counts as fighting.

Why is it that people can't separate fantasy from reality these days? Playing as the empire or a bad guy doesn't make you a bad guy. WTF.

So you're fine with taking the risk that your kids will be playing SWBFII and then grow up to becoming space Richard Spencers?

WOW. Literally can't even.

Richard Spencer is just a nazi. He could become literally Hitler, like Trump

This has been mentioned by many atheist intellectuals but I'll repeat it. Religion isn't the primary mover of the shit show, it's the water in a grease fire, shit was already on fire but religion burns the whole fucking house to the ground. Muslim countries are being attacked, impoverished and humiliated by the US Republican and Democratic scum for decades but their shitty religion is what helped ruin what was left of their societies. Obama and Clinton destroying Libya and Syria was just the final nail in the coffin of that shitty religion, it has now gone off the deep end and while it wasn't the religion's fault that's what dogmatic belief systems do, in a moment of crisis they make matters much, much worse.
