I used to play free games like it's a true commitment. It felt like, "Yes! I finally get to play a game I probably will never be able to buy out of my allowance."

Growing up, I noticed the more free games I have, the less I feel like wanting to play them. But that is from a time where I'm still in school and I haven't entered college yet.

Maybe it rings true that, the less time you have, the less games you to enjoy.

I would hate to think this is the case.

But there has been too many cases where, games get announced for other systems, they release, and then we later find out they are coming to switch at a later date.

I can understand year 1, but when is the cut off point? When can we expect that developers should have had enough time to release games date in date with the rest? I don't think that is too much to ask, and I would hope that by the end of this year this is no longer an issue.

My biggest fear is that this is on purpose. "Hey let us maximize all our sales on game X, then release it on switch." The thing about switch is that it is a new market for some, since some people only have a switch, or perhaps some people missed out on the game but get it on switch, or some people double dip. Normally, one would not double dip for Xbox and PS4 for example, since it is the same experience, but with switch some of us (myself included) double dip due to portability. I can't help but think this could be on purpose, but I sure hope I am wrong.

It sucks to have to wait longer for a game, or buying a game for another system, to then find out it is coming later to your console of choice (perfect example for me would be Crash....). For me, 9/10 I would pick a game on switch vs ps4 (my other console), if I was given said option - granted if it run well and such, and it is a good version.

What do you guys think, is this on purpose? As time passes by should we expect for date to date releases on switch to become more common place? What is a reasonable cutting point for us to expect same day releases and announcements?
