BP was ok, but yeah, some of the stuff about Wakanda was  ..

In the '80 reboot in the comics, shit was way more epic. Wakanda didnt look like leftovers generic random renders from star wars, Black Panther had to prove that he was worthy of the title by fighting this hugefuckoff white gorilla that had killed other pretenders, and he beat him using tech taken from the jungle, because in that version, the entire land had cyber elements to it. It was so fresh at the time. I believe he even fails the first time and gets his back broken? He heals and then kill the giant legendary gorilla. It's been like 30 years so i might get some stuff wrong.

The first story arc ended with BP fighting this super power group of white nationalists and killing them all as they slaughtered the poor villagers. It was epic as hell, and BP came off looking like a true noble king who didnt hesitate to take on those super powered guys.

He was smart, witty, cunning and used his cyder-enhanced environment to fight, and used a form of martial art created in his country

BP in the movie feels like a total asshole who hoard his technology and let the rest of Africa go to hell while they hid behind cloaking energy fields. Thanks guys. I'm supposed to cheer for this guy? 

Also for such an advanced nation, wakanda sure feels like it's about to crumble into civil war between those tribes at any moment.

Other articles mentioned they received an anonymous tip-off and police confirmed it to be a murder-suicide, so I suspect that call was from the perpetrator him/herself.

I know in Aussie rural areas (probably applicable overseas), suicide victims often phone emergency services to provide a location for ambos to pick up after what's left. That's how a family friend departed this world.

No doubt this event will be politicised abroad, but don't forget that a woman stabbed to death 8 children in Queensland a few years ago. Mass killings tied to domestic violence and mental illness aren't really talked about.

I don't think this fits a mass shooting either, it wasn't indiscriminate. Rural folk, particularly farmers, have had firearms for a long time in Aus. They're not usually the ones out to harm others in public.

If anything, Kratos' depiction helped my own feelings growing up as it was one of my first exposures to "Men are the more expendable gender" trope being averted.  I remember being depressed as a kid with how prevalent that trope was to the point of feeling that my life was "worth less".  There was something comforting about the idea of being killed alongside everyone else if I ever ran into Kratos.

Man, those games were so fucking embarrassing. It's still surreal to me that these were smash hits and old Kratos an industry icon less than a decade ago.

God of War 3 was 2010. Western games have grown up pretty quick.
