He's welcome to read these posts. It was a betrayal of trust and an active deception on his part. He lied to me directly over and over again while he was sabotaging the site. He admitted to it when confronted, but did nothing to address it and happily bounced to ERA after helping to set up the conditions that led to ERA's formation. Is that supposed to be some reason to go soft on him? I think not.Not everyone follows things closely or knows what happened back then. A lot of people who were hit by these bans don't. I'm invigorated recently, as you'll notice if you read the rest of the OP, because of recent findings that a "friend" was actively suppressing moderate voices last October under false pretenses after specifically volunteering to help during the crisis situation. That was far worse and far more malicious than anything Bish did post-election. I forgive Bish. I've known Bish since I was 14 years old. When you look at what's happening in Europe, where supposedly liberalized countries are rapidly turning to far-right extremism in the face of brown migrants, you realize no country is safe. It's not just America with Trump or Britain with Brexit. White people, everywhere, cannot be trusted to look out for people of color. When their backs are against the wall (or they even perceive that their backs are against the wall) they will vote to save themselves, every time, without question. They will throw people of color, women, queer people, immigrants, and Muslims under the bus, every time, to save themselves and their majority. The scariest thing they can imagine is that they will one day be treated the way other minority groups are treated.
A moderate is the ally of peace not justice and therein lies the rub.
Racists and moderates are the end of us.
This is why I thought this whole recent narrative that minorities need white America to change was flawed. Whites had no incentive to, morals are always thrown away when convenient, moral calls to action are ultimately flawed strategy.
