They have such 1 dimensional thinking when it comes to politics. Because THEY inject politics into everything, they think if you take that away, the original thing will be basically nothing.
Yeah, their basic argument boils down to opportunity costs. Your game
could have a political message, so if it doesn't, it is tacitly helping the other side by not advocating against it.
The problem with adopting this argument is that it would then extend to everything. Anything you do that is not furthering
the cause is tacitly supporting the opposition by not supporting
the cause. By this logic, when I go play tennis with my son instead of writing letters to my senators, I'm making a political decision to not write them, or to not march in the streets today. When excelsiorlef watches WWE, she's making a political decision to support the opposition by
not using that time to instead donate money to supporters of
the cause.
It's a ridiculous standard. Yes, things can omit supporting your cause. They can be apolitical. The fact that you're bothered that I don't want to spend all my free time engaged in politics doesn't make it a political decision. It just makes you obsessive.
