I have sparred with women in BJJ many times, and in an environment that was highly competitive and full of tough-ass people. Those girls were very strong-willed and technically proficient, total badasses. But... haven't ever taken a point or been subbed by a woman, even back as a white belt vs purples and browns, when I wasn't particularly fit or strong or fast or technical.

By blue belt w/ fitness in check, though, there was no point even sparring against women anymore and thankfully I stopped being paired up against women by then; I'd have to go easy on them and they'd get pissed off at me, understandably, insist that I don't hold back...okay...then they'd end up having to tap to positional pressure or something that normally is Not Done. "Hey, why are you dropping your knees to the mat from side control? Use your base properly, c'mo--*face turns purple* *gurgle* *gurgle* *gurgle* *stubbornness* *losing consciousness* *tap of shame*" It's pretty uncomfortable tbh, since there's not much I can do to preserve the dignity of my opponent at that point and there's no accomplishment there.
