As a black man I think we should get our reparations and that the Democratic Party should put this forward or free college
Other groups have gotten reparations I don’t think it would be out of the normal for us to get them too

I honestly feel like reparations is not a bad idea, but anything that resetera would accept as being reparations will 100% be completely unrealistic.
I remember a conversation on it on GAF (with obviously many of the same people) and nothing other than extra large cash payments counted. I remember the most popular idea is each black person should get cut a check for like $200K.
Yeah, dude, I’m sure people are willing to just drop 8 Trillion dollars on cutting checks to black people. If the Democrats want Trump to win again they’ll get right on proposing that.
In reality it should be about investing in schools and communities and maybe subsidizing education. In reality the smartest way to get something like that passed is to avoid talk about reparations, and just talk about helping struggling families with a wink and a nod to realizing that African Americans are more likely to fall into that bucket.
Also interesting to me that Ta-Nehisi Coates hung up his Racial animosity pen to write comic books full time. He’s a talented writer but his “woe is me, Amerikkka is so racist that nothing can ever ever improve shit got old”
