I don’t get the point of that Louis CK thread now, after the Mod post. It quite literally is just a hate stroke fest with anything less than that being explicitly stated as bannable. Even Trump threads over there aren’t that draconian.

The Vox Populi has been getting dangerously uppity recently, what with calling out protected favorite posters as being actual pieces of shit for pushing for someone to kill themself and making jokes about how up its own ass era can be, so sometimes the adminstration has to string a few people up and hang them from the lampposts.

Era seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding about what comedy is, and a huge problem with understanding the difference between the subject of a joke and the target of a joke, because the two aren't automatically the same thing.

If a comedian can do a funny bit about 8 year olds with terminal leukemia, fucking hats off at being able to find something funny in that.
Thats a lot harder than saying how something most people find annoying is annoying. It'd take some fucking real craft to get a routine out of that.

And whats the deal with mosquitos anyway?

Ok, hopefully a mod can help me out with this question. I read the mod post, I'm not defending or saying this video was funny because I didn't even watch it, but I know there's a trans joke in it based on the mod comment.

So just for the sake of clarity, what comedy bits are not allowed around here? I mean there are those who think that nothing is sacred when it comes to comedy, but I understand that this forum has it's own rules when it comes to these things, so is it just trans jokes in comedy bits that are not allowed, or is it anything offensive (9/11 jokes, dead baby jokes, etc)?

Something I wanted to talk about real quick. This is just the funniest damn thing to me. You take someone like Louis CK or Aziz Ansari.
