I just finished a playthrough (Axel - Normal) and it was much better the second time - mostly A/S ranks
I think it's fun, but the armor/i-frames enemies get is annoying along with their sudden wake-ups.
The worst enemy is easily the tazer-cops their grab is stupid and can get you from half screen.
Gonna play with all characters for the achievements. Just unlocked Skate ("All SOR2 Characters") so I imagine SOR3 characters are next
Yeah, I just got to stage 5 and really liking it but my only complaint so far is the super armor and half-screen grabs. Been grabbed by taser cops a bunch.
Also I suck at Floyd, every other character I got through the stages fine, but when I tried Floyd I died like halfway through stage 4. I really like Cherry. Her moveset is awesome. Guitar movesets are always awesome. Her HP seemed really low though compared to the others, not sure if it was just in my head or she has less HP. Axel and Blaze are great.
I do miss the old school tactics of basing things around stun-locking, but otherwise this seems really good. Looking forward to doing a bunch of runs.

Yeah I've seen people not able to figure out Axel right away calling him low tier, but they end up stuck at the cop shield enemies and I never had an issue with him with Axel. Dude's a tank and gives out a nice deal of damage with enough maneuverability. He's also not THAT slow, or even slow at all, not sure what these impatient fucks are huffing.
Oh yeah, I still don't have a good strategy for the shield cops. They aren't bad 1 on 1, but with 2 or more of them I find them pretty annoying to fight without letting their shields regen.
