"Pasta" is the italian term. You'll find close equivalents in other romance languages. For example, "pâtes" in French.
"Noodles" is the equivalent word, from the germanic root. Nudeln.
Since your sorry ass language is the bastard child of french and german, you can use both. Interchangeably.
