Democrats are "anti-war" so long it's the other party fucking things up.

Since that fucker has been an Anti-war Democrat since they were 9, they'd remember a time when Democrats like Michael Moore protested the Iraq War while Bush was president but for some reason forgot about it when Obama became president and the war didn't end. They'd make excuses for Obama drones with things like,"oh, but that means American soldiers lives aren't being lost."

Which tells you everything you need to know about American politics: it's a team sport. Not about actual values.

As a fan of Michael Moore since his TV Nation days - when FWIW he was heavily critical of Clintons Gulf War 1 - I'm assuming you're picking him out because you're on an anti-fat tilt, but he openly criticised Obamas drone strikes and suggested his Nobel Peace Prize should be removed.

He also accurately predicted that Hilary would lose and Trump would win, and the reasons why, when most left wing commentators assumed that Clinton 2 was in the bag

I picked him out not because he's far left but because he's a prominent Democrat. Democrats made HUGE protests about the Iraq War. I know. I went to them. Moore made a goddamn movie about it.

Nothing about Obama continuing the war or the drone use.

Nada.

Democrats flipped the script literally overnight.

similarly with other recent discussions here, it's odd that the left has a seeming monopoly on the -phobic label

is it because the left has more presence in mental sciences where phobias are discussed and diagnosed?  or saw so much success with one particular phobia in the vernacular that they went ahead and claimed a bunch more?

is there evidence that suggests those on the right are in general more afraid of any given thing than those on the left

something about being a democrat removes fear

there are basically no phobias that can be successfully wielded against the left because it would seem like it's trying too hard to flip it reverse it, apparently

so the left can't meme but the right can't phobelabel!

You gave a specific example that you obviously didn't actually do any research on, got called on it, and your response is "well I meant generally despite giving a very specific example".

Never change.   :playa

Nope. That was my intention to begin with. I named Moore because he made Fahrenheit 9/11 actually, a movie specifically about the Iraq War and the American war machine. To my knowledge, nothing from Moore and prominent Democrats on Obama's foreign policy. I stand by every statement I've made. Democrats are spineless and every issue is just team sports.

I even said and I quote,"when Democrats like Michael Moore". It's not a specific example. I can cite another - Howard Dean. It's one example, hence "like". Bush's Iraq war was VERY unpopular in 2004 and was a major Democratic Party campaign platform for that election. They changed their tune real quick once Obama became Prez and drones started to take off. "Oh but that means less American soldiers lives lost."

But of course this will go over your head as you love to gargle donkey dick.

Gal Gadot, a jew, and jews are in Israel.

Every nation on earth and every organization just needs one bad actor in it and the entire structure is invalid.

Jews are Asians

If you look at Asia, there's countless stories of Chinese diaspora of Chinatowns being wiped off the maps in a pogrom like massacre because the locals just hated Han Chinese that much.

Here's one about Indonesia.

https://www.tabletmag.com/jewish-arts-and-culture/257183/indonesians-hate-the-chinese-because-they-are-jewish

Quote
Indonesian leaders themselves invoke comparisons between Chinese and Jews, although they do so in order to vilify them, attacking both groups as greedy, selfish minorities bent on controlling the world. Towards the end of his tenure, President Suharto, who ruled Indonesia from 1967 to 1998, began to spin conspiracy theories in which Indonesia’s Chinese minority and “international Zionism” were plotting together. These speculations contributed to violence against the Chinese. In the anarchic conditions after Suharto’s fall from power in 1998, nationalist groups blamed the Chinese for Indonesia’s political and economic problems. Chinese-owned business and homes were destroyed, over a thousand people murdered, and many victims brutalized in mass rapes.

Contrast with this trailer.

Ergo, like most Democrats Moore is an imperialist. He makes critiques on Democrats but they're always soft criticisms. Not in the way he goes after Republicans. He's for the party more than his so-called ideals. He's for the team.

Democrats in a nutshell. They are anti-war when it suits them, and that's when the other party is in office.

Both parties are vile.

Not really ? He's a Party outsider, endorsed by Internet cohorts (so by Gamers and Alt Right Russians), with a "tech bro" (to use ERA's jargon) vibe and not very big on identity politics, AFAIK. UBI is the only major thing they don't despise.

Look at how Moore defends Obama's failures. He doesn't even mention the drone wars or terrorist kill list. He's willing to make excuses.

Both parties are vile.

what're they gonna say, "no I don't support it"

Bernie:  “I support LGBT rights.”

Moderator:  “Sir, it’s  known as LGBTQ rights.”

Bernie, staring intently at moderator:  “I support LGBT rights.”

:confused

literally the opening of his "defence" you just posted of Obama is a list of things Obama really fucked up on, and he says - verbatim - "There's a lot of things I'm really not happy with" talking about his legacy.
He outright calls him out in Fahrenheit 11/9 for Flint still not having drinkable water, and Obama just breezes in, gives a press conference, then breezes out again not fixing shit.

You should actually watch his stuff. Fahrenheit 9/11 isn't an "anti war" film.
If anything its a "George Dubya was dangerously incompetent" hit piece, which, you know, let's not pretend is crazy revisionist history here.
As a puppet figurehead to special interests, he might have muddled through as a one termer mediocrity, but in a post 9/11 hysteria was responsible for fucking up a whole lot of shit at really deep levels.

He's not a politician, he's a documentarian, and a pretty talented and witty one at that.
He's not demonised by the likes of Fox news because hes a fat lefty with a passing resemblance to gabe newell. There's tons of fat leftys.
They fucking hate him because he's more often right than wrong. Almost literally the opposite of Fox News.

Can any student of American history explain to me why the founding fathers thought it was a good idea to fight a war of independence in order to just replace a hereditary King with an elected one?

Always seemed to me that there is way too much power invested in the office of President and nowhere near enough checks and balances.

Because the founding fathers probably thought people wouldn't be dumb enough to stick to a set of laws in 2019 written at a time when people shat in buckets.

Even a deeply unethical man like Trump doesn't seem to make them realize that the system is completely undemocratic and that the president should be stripped of most of his powers.

60+ million vote for someone to lead and represent them. It's not perfect but not completely undemocratic.

But yeah after Obama acquired the chaos emeralds in 2012 congress should've taken action to limit the Presidents' powers.

There's a great Norm Macdonald bit about that:

"Remember when Obama won that peace award just for getting elected? They should have just been honest and called it the "Fuck George Bush" award"

Everyone has always said that from day 1, and not as a "bit".

I really don't see what's wrong with anything I've said but ok.

idk about moore, but Obama definitely got preferential treatment from the european media who absolutely bought into the hopium. He promised to save us all from Bush warmongering and never really got called out on not delivering on it. We didn't even call him out on not closing Guantanamo bay ffs. And when he signed off on a hitjob on a us citizen? Barely a peep, but if Bush had done that... whew.

I'm personally guilty as charged myself.

We really wanted to love Obama.
