Also, I learned in that thread that ree overwhelmingly thinks a live-in maid is akin to a slave and would rather he didn't employ her at all, likely condemning that maid to complete poverty.

These people are dangerous ideologues who have no connection with reality and are unable to conceive of a lifestyle that does not match up 100% with their own twisted worldview.

Yea, there were a few voices of reason in that thread but the rest took things way to far as usual.
I just wonder how many are capable of actually reflecting on their words and realising that their preferences would actually lead to real harm being done to a real human?

https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/8607128/mums-make-porn-kids-watch/
Quote
Mums Make Porn sees the women, who have teenage kids, create their own sex vid after being left horrified by the hardcore porn available online for free.
Sarah, 40, from North Wales was left in tears after watching rape-based born.
"Porn doesn’t represent normal women, the actors and actresses they use mislead kids. They need to realise it’s not normal.”

Another mum Sarah Louise, from Manchester, threw up after watching some graphic content, while another mum was so upset and disgusted she quit the programme.

The mums worked with industry experts and were given all the tools they needed to make the movie.

They were left completely in control – from writing and casting, to directing and editing their fully mum-approved pornographic film.

The porn film will be aired on in the final of the three-part show as they hold a viewing party for their family, friends – and most importantly, their kids.

This seem strangely like the type of project you'd imagine RE member talking about doing.

wait, so this is being funded by channel 4 so we're gonna get a mum-sanctioned porno on network tv?

imokaywiththis.gif and also because channel 5 will try and one up it with a "we found 5 middle aged dads, and let them make a porno, and its fucking right filth"

Its very simple, they're creating a clear set of rules and guidelines to follow after the thread was already reopened once, and will now go and ban any users who breached the new rules of conduct and post guidelines before they were written.

There has to be a clinical definition of what Tabris has. Some sort of combination of extreme narcissism anda constant need for affirmation.

He's either a consummate troll or he really does model his entire life on Patrick Bateman (and entirely missing the point of the character).

I'd like to believe he's just playing a character to troll, but I always have this feeling that he really is that fucking shallow and stupid.

There exists several cases where a person is sent to therapy by their family members and a psychologist determines that the person in question is actual the normal one and the rest of the family are crazy.  The insane reject the one voice of reason because he is the outsider.  I feel like that is what Tabris is.

Like the saying goes, "In the land of the cucked the man with the hard peen is king."

Because nobodies seen that film and it killed Carolco as a studio, pirate films as a genre until POTC, and Renee Harlin and Geena Davis careers  :(

https://www.neogaf.com/threads/opinion-a-99-disc-less-xbox-one-could-lead-to-another-kinect-level-success.1473419/

Quote
Let's say at the GDC Microsoft comes on stage reveales the disc-less Xbox One, and Phil comes in with a kings crown on his head shouts "$99.99" and drops the mic. It would be an epic conference because the message will be clear: The gen is over.

If MS can pull it off, since you can get an original Xbox One or S for <$200 and $250 respectively, you could have a Kinect level success.

Adding to the damage, you have the upcoming streaming platform allowing even more options on you're all digital gaming device. This could be a huge deal.

Using a $250 base Xbox One S as an example:

-Remove the 4K blu-ray drive from the: shave $100
-Remove unnecessary optional ports that aren't popularly used: shave $25
-Shrink the box size making manufacturing process cheaper: Shave $25

Total: $99

That's an easy $99 all digital box that could take off selling Kinect-like numbers.

Even parents will pick it up for their kids.

Reading that RLM thread, can you imagine if Halle Berrys Catwoman came out this year, and you just - as a movie critic of any stripe - wanted to say it was a shitty movie but not get attacked for 'pandering' or having ulterior motives for saying so?

Because make no mistake, Catwoman was a shitty, shitty, shitty movie.

Just found out Jim Sterling gave BotW 7/10 from the 'What's the most infamous video game review?' thread. That dude gives out scores? I just thought he bitched for 20 min on youtube. Feeling conflicted now, find him boring as fuck but on the other hand anyone that gives BotW the score it deserved is good people.

BOTW is like top 5 all time.
As a sandbox game maybe, as a Zelda game it's an abject failure.

I think he's talking about things like youtube suggesting videos specifically because an algorithm has determined that it's likely to reinforce opinions you already hold, because that will increase your overall usage. If the current system encourages dogmatism, i'd say that's worth thinking about.

No, his manifesto I guess you can call it wants 'us' to "do our part to foster constructive healthy conversations online" and states that "The web is for everyone".
These are pretty clearly going against the resetera grain of deplatforming and assuming any dissenting opinion is operating under an agenda or an agent provocateur or troll and are not worth interacting with.

I mean, I could be misinterpreting what hes saying, but he seems to want to take the freedoms enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights afforded to our meatspace and extend that to our digital selves, and era have shown themselves multiple times to not respect fundamental aspects of the universal declaration of human rights.

Did anyone actually read the quote that started this whole controversy? At no point does Larson say she doesn't care about "old white dudes" just that she wanted her press days to be more inclusive since one group was overwhelmingly represented.

Posted in a thread about RLM where their review shows footage of Brie Larson saying "old white dudes" multiple times

Well, they are all voice actors. And correct me if I'm wrong, but voice actors are mostly white in US, right...? But yeah, that is also a topic for different conversation.
I'm not sure if that's true. Not trying to suggest you're wrong, I just sincerely don't know. I know one voice actor irl and he's black, for what it's worth.

Why do they always insist on putting topics like this in the gaming forum when it has nothing to do with video games?  ???

Anyone remember a decade ago when everyone was making fun of Rihanna having a big forehead? I've been thinking it's weird how now 10 years on we have all these white actresses with their high hairline, yet no one is saying shit about them. If a man had this Captain Marvel chick's hairline people would be making fun of his receding hairline. White chicks can really get away with anything.

In this thread alone, there's probably 3000 jokes about Ellen Page's fivehead
