As long as you get branching story options like choosing between giving Lot's daughters or the angels to the people of Sodom to rape, I'm in.

Literally never witnessed anyone wearing a MAGA hat.
I have and to be honest they weren’t douches or anything. I mean I won’t lie and say I didn’t have my own snap judgements of them, but they weren’t monsters like Ree thinks they’d be.

I want neolithic Ass Creed.

You must kill Ugg from two tribe over.  Use rock, bash head.  Steal fire.

Or, Men of the Water have Antler Horn of Power.  Steal it and grant it's magical powers to your tribe.

Also, evolution is not real in the Creed Universe so I don't know if that could work.

Not very.
Assassin's Creed games should at least TRY to be somewhat historically plausible... then again Odyssey kind of shat on that idea.

Fist fighting the pope and meeting a fourth wall breaking hologram at the end in AssCreed2 kind of already shat on the whole concept.

The hologram is the gimmick on top of it, the twist if you will, so i don't think that really goes against it.
They could do the "Jesus had the Apple of Eden" thing, and that would work out, but if they start to base the whole premise on just absurd Bible myths, then it destroys the premise itself.

The idea is to apply the Sci-Fi element of the Apple of Eden (and Templar/Assassin) to "realistic" settings, not to inject their sci-fi in already completely fantastic settings.

The premise is mostly fantastic with Sci-Fi mumbo jumbo throwed there to justify the setting. The Apple thing was so in the nose and annoying since AssCreed2 because the game already broke the suspension of disbelief and was desperate to being taken seriously.

That the series is becoming way more fantastical just speaks how little of importance is all the Templar/Assasin conflict is and how the games probably would work better (story wise) as new IPs.

In my ideal Assassin's Creed game Noah eats your asshole, then you get double teamed by David & Goliath, then you try to fuck Job- but he's secretly a templar. How cool would that be.

I mean i don't disagree that the story sucks, but i don't see how that invalidates my point that it's supposed to be fantastical elements overlapped with real events (however historically botched) rather than fantastical elements overlapped with fantastical events.

I mostly saying that the novelty of fantastical elements in real world events died almost instantly for me since AssCreed 2 so I feel indiferent about the games getting more crazy about it (though, I agree that the Jason idea of the Bible stuff sounds hilariously awful).

Anything about the transition from pre-human to human fascinates me.  And Ron Perlman said the entire time they shot that movie the crew could see his big swinging balls.

Maybe related, I remember enjoying this as a kid. Would this pass the smell test these days?

"Based on nothing"??? They act like the campaign year is the only thing you can base your preference on. Not years of political service combined with the knowledge and capability to deliver positive reform. Maybe decide who you want to vote for before listening to all the clickbait, controversy, mudslinging, likeability bullshit.

They should make an Assassins Creed - like the war its based on - set in the most important event of our modern lives; #gamergate.
Team up with Assassin Brianna Wu to stop the Templar plot to drop rocks from the moon.
Unlock the Twitter upgrade that expands your ammo from 140 characters to 280.
Invent new words like "sealion" and "milkshake duck" to destroy the templars with the power of semiotics (and also anyone you think might be a templar. Or anyone you just don't like in general. Or argued with once.)

That's just crazy to me sorry. You can't change history because it doesn't suit your world view unfortunately.
A credit is like a statue. After a while you discover a person isn't as good as once thought, and decide they shouldn't be honored and you take their statue down.

No it isn't. It's the acknowledgement of the creator of a work.

where did this come from? who wrote this? what is it even about? Nobody knows! It just magically appeared!

nah, fuck your #cancelled culture.
R Kelly might be a urolagniac ephebophile - and let's be clear, thats way fucking worse than 'being a dick on twitter' is - but he's also the creator of songs, and if you have a problem with seperating creator from product, sucks for you that you can't enjoy that product any more.

But you don;t get to fucking erase the creator so you can 'guilt free' enjoy a work. Fuck that noise.

no, its a 2 part argument;
1) MS are pulling a dick move by ctrl+f delete all references to notch in splashscreen.txt
2) Era and twitterati are assholes for cheering removal of a creator credit because they don;t like the creator, and if it was up to them Mincecraft would be a thing that came from space that nobody had any contribution towards but that emerged fully formed for MS to then monetise

Minecraft is an evolving game about a decade old at this point. I mean, it'll be one thing if Notch was still involved somehow with Mojang and Minecraft, it'll be one thing, but he's been out since the sale to Microsoft. If anything, I'd chalk this with Microsoft not want to associate the game with any one person just so it'll be easier for their own branding purposes.

Why should he recieve any credit? All he did was design all the fundamental gameplay and code it.
