James is baiting you all.  :ufup

James, like forum poster Benji, is always right, so come at me bro

 :sistine

James do you think the lack of adult man games in Japan is leading to the sharp increase in the hikikomori population

Also the sharp increase in underage squid sex?

Funny you mention that.

Isn't resetera all about banning loli games because presumably it leads to deviant sexual behavior?

If diddling virtual kids leads to diddling real kids....

Then it follows that massacring virtual kids leads to massacring real kids.

Also, I dont know what hikikomori is because Im not a weebo and Im not googling weebo words.

Alright alright. :no1curr

Just ban your fucking guns and stop finding excuses.

Why not both?

Imagine you have an American kid.

He spends his afternoons on youtube being told that brown people are invading.
He spends his evening on his Xbox killing wave after wave of brown people.
One day, he says fuck it, walks a block, picks up a military grade weapon, and does as told.
1 minute later, 20 are dead.

Imagine you have an English kid.

He spends his afternoons on youtube being told that brown people are invading.
He spends his evening on his Xbox killing wave after wave of brown people.
One day, he says fuck it, tries to buy a gun, cannot do so due to stringent gun laws, picks up a knife, and does as told.
1 minute later, someone has a light cut and he is restrained.

Imagine you have an French kid.

He spends his afternoons engaging in cultural activities approved by the French government.
He spends his evening on his Switch building new Mario worlds.
Fin. He is happy and well balanced.

Just ban your fucking guns and stop finding excuses.

Imagine you have an French kid.

He spends his afternoon being told by Macron to take a low level job
He spends his evening looting and fighting the riot police
One day, he says fuck it, tries to buy a gun, cannot do so due to stringent gun laws
Macron yells in a microphone after being booed all day and increases his taxes

It turns out this weekend's news about the ESA inadvertently leaking journalists' details is not without precedent.

GamesIndustry.biz has learned that databases of personal information for media professionals attending E3 are also available from two previous years.

While both these events were so long ago the details are likely out of date, the fact they are publicly available still raises concerns.

The databases we have seen contained more than 2,800 listings for journalists who attended one E3, and more than 3,300 for those who attended another.

These listings include full names, job titles, addresses (often work, but some for home), email addresses, phone numbers and fax numbers.

While the details are not publicly available through the E3 website as it stands today, they have been discovered when searching archived versions of the site.

Doesn't sound like they're been taken down.

Writing. FOR FREE.

In all seriousness, I have a friend that's a writer/editor for a small comic book website, he gets press passes for Comic Con or E3 (he had the foresight to not go to E3 this year because he didn't want to drive to Downtown L.A.). Obviously, don't work for these sites if you're expecting any sort of monetary compensation. Do do it if you like the hobby and want a press pass to a convention or event that costs you money.

Remember back in 2016 when Milo was pretty much the poster boy for the Alt-Right? How much have we heard from him ever since his twitter got suspended?

Or how about Alex Jones? Yeah he's still around, but how much have we been hearing from him ever since his fiascos finally caught up to him.

The more ground they lose to speak, the less louder they'll be. The less louder they'll be, the less they'll be able to radicalize others.

Deplatforming works.

And Trump is still the President and is blatant about his racism while we just had a racial motivated shooter. And don’t forget QAnon tards.

A: you mean let’s ask other countries how they dealt with their leader inspiring racial violence?

How are you not  saying that the reason other countries avoid shootings is because their leader doesn’t promote the racial violence?

Unless your post is operating on some Marrecisms I don’t understand.

First, B doesn't really answer my question.

Second, I'm "implying" that America is uniquely positioned in that it has normal mass killings brought on by easy access to deadly weaponry and it also now has racially motivated mass killings that are brought on by the above AND our President being a white nationalist. It was meant to point out that while other countries have taken positive steps to help reduce gun violence our country would also have to take steps to reduce racial violence at the same time, which may involve shutting down bastions of white supremacy like 8chan.

THANKS FOR MAKING ME CAREPOST YOU FUCKO

Eh... that is the whole reason why I’m mad at 8chan and I seriously doubt Marrec doesn’t get that.

I don’t disagree with you in the last part, but why bother with 8chan as they seem to bother even less about doing the minimum necessary and the user base seem to not mind that those groups use the site this way?

Seeing less people on the internet talking about specific violence as a way to self-aggrandize and self-martyr among a crowd that they know will cheer them on, you mean.

Making these places less accessible is 100% going to help prevent dumbasses from trying to self-martyr.

Fuck all.

"Oh, I see less people on the internet talking about violence" is as much a placebo for the actual fucking reasons mass shootings occur as "God will protect those who are worthy"

Eh... that is the whole reason why I’m mad at 8chan and I seriously doubt Marrec doesn’t get that.

I don’t disagree with you in the last part, but why bother with 8chan as they seem to bother even less about doing the minimum necessary and the user base seem to not mind that those groups use the site this way?

whenever this has come up, I personally raise an eyebrow at the 'need' for a site that gives less of a fuck than fucking 4chan, or the type of people who'll post there, but if you shut down all the 'obvious bad' websites today, what do you shut down after the next mass shooting?
because shutting those down won't so shit to prevent that.

places like 8chan facilitate positive feedback loops, an average right winger may stay docile, but quickly get radicalized if they go down the rabbit hole. Same thing happens with the alt-right youtube talking heads. What can be done about it? Not sure.

I don’t think that’s what your post said but that’s just my opinion

I need a version of the "what if we make the planet better for nothing" comic but with shutting down 8chan/gab/daily stormer and "what if we make the internet better for nothing"

If you don't believe that these are the actions of a coordinated group using these websites to communicate their plans, then doing that does the exact same thing as thoughts and prayers does.

Fuck all.

The only reason people are calling for 8chan et all to be shut down is because these white nationalists are posting their manifestos on the website and other white nationalists are cheering them on.

So by your slippery slope argument, we will shut down websites that willingly host white nationalist manifestos and cheer on mass violence. How is this fucking hard?

"Oh but they will just move to less visible places"

Fucking duh that's the point innit? If you remove easy access to feedback loops of white violence you effectively do the same as removing easy access to guns because these racially motivated shootings are happening IN PART because dopes on 8chan cheer them on and everyone on the internet knows about 8chan so mentally ill racists congregate there. It may not be as 100% effective as removing guns but it's still a piece of the problem and one that can actually be done fairly easily.

"oh no kiwifarms is next" fucking good btw

so the point isn't to actually prevent future mass shootings, its to stop people talking about violence where you can see them?

Do you know what can be effectively compared to removing easy access to guns?
Removing easy access to guns.

You're thinking that having to install TOR will keep kids away from the same kind of content? Everyone already has 30+ storefronts installed on their PC. These kids have the wherewithal to get a gun, having to install a free VPN client won't deter them at all. In fact, it will introduce them to a whole host of other dangerous shit.

Shutting down the very visible and easily accessibly congregation point of racist idiots will do more than pissing about slippery slope idiocy because some cesspool of garbage was finally made inaccessible for a few days.
