gameovergreggy I know this isn't anywhere near a replacement for a full time job, but it would be really great if you gave Imran a call for KFGD, he was fantastic when he appeared!

They’d just get fired from their coding job when the social media intern at their new company tweets out a shoutout to boogie1488

Is this because of his Trump interview?

Is because GameStop is dying and ShockingAlberto is a useless shit.

yeah, but still, the duties of president of pakistan are still probably more important to devote time to if you had to make the choice

Their obsession with Disney is even weirder. Considering that Walt Disney right before he died was working on what would today be considered his own personal fascist utopia.
Where people would live, work and leisure under the watchful eye of the Disney Corporation. Not to mention the US government didn't even have to ask Walt to rat out the commies, he just fired them himself.

Its cute that people in that topic think Game Informer is some media juggernaut being dragged down by its association with failing low energy Gamestop, and not that Gamestop is the propaganda arm for a large specialist retailer that can afford to run as it is and gets the scoops that it does because its one giant fucking advertorial

Someone in the thread says that the order came from GameSpot and GI was caught off guard. I guess there's a difference between "not unexpected" and "by the way don't come tomorrow".

But who knows. US law on the matter of notices (especially from employer to employee) sounds like a nightmare seen from that side of the pond.

Getting sacked is always fucking rough and I hope he lands on his feet somewhere so that y'all can continue to laugh at his reporting.

tell me about it. my last job had us working with another team in doing a bunch of setup stuff. on the last day our work took us out for lunch and beers and such then we were going to have a wrap up meeting. turns out that meeting was them letting us know we were being shitcanned (thanks for training your replacements btw) and the lunch was so that they had time to pack up our desks for us.

so i wouldn't be shocked if he found out just a couple minutes before the tweet.

on the real, the GI layoffs are a major bummer cause its one of the few outlets that didn't pretend they were writing the next cultural thinkpieces that would stand the test of time. they knew it was all game shit and not deadly serious and would even mock that "srs bsns" stuff a bit.

probably the product of having a bunch of older vets on the staff, same as giant bomb.

Patrick is a fuck up of the highest caliber. He's been bounced around as a "journalist" in the industry for 13-14 years (he considers posting and lurking  on Neogaf as part of his career, so he'd say 20 years, implying a 14 year old has the capacity to not be a fucking idoot).

His main scoopity scoop happened 10 years ago about, for 1UP or G4 or whomever he sucked up to or blew. He doesn't have a distinctive style or wit, his opinions are up righteous/arrogant pieces of trash. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone at Giant Bomb loathed how much of a smelly tryhard intellectual he is.

I'll never forget how triggered he was by Armstrong in Metal Gear Rising. A beloved villain with outrageous and awesome dialouge, Armstrong made the ending strong and memorable.

Meanwhile, Patrick had to be the wet blanket that voiced how the Japanese are making a mockery of American politics, and how wrong it feels.

Japanese femdom where they finger fuck the dude and then grind on his dick is how I need my Asian women. Asian women need to be empowered. They need leather or shiny clothing, some anal toys, and a bladder full of piss.

Honestly fuck the fact that the market changed. People are going to miss magazines when they are gone and it pisses me off.

What kind of anti-progressive rhetoric is this

I guess Era is all "the future is now, old man!" except when it takes away precious media consumption avenues.
