still waiting for a superhero movie to be better than Hellboy or Blade 2

basically guillermo del toro is the king of superheroes

Had no idea he directed Blade 2. No wonder it was so good. Makes sense that Blade 3 was a complete trainwreck as he didn't work on that. Though there are other reasons beyond that I'm sure.

Edit: Wesley Snipes refusing to open his eyes for a random scene so they were CGI added in for example  :lol

Blade 3 was plagued by Snipes and the director David Goyer being at extreme odds (Snipes refused to talk with him at all on set) and... well... Having Goyer as a director. It was pretty tired and using all of the shitty ropes mandated by executives to "expand the franchise". The DVD has an incredible featurette of Goyer the writer interviewing Goyer the director in split screen where he fellates himself about how talented he is. Goyer has a pretty stellar resume but in reality it's not at all clear he's that good, even by his own admission. He's more of an outline guy, and him and Norrington drew a lot from Snipes to make Blade somewhat of a charismatic character on screen.

Ha. Don't think I heard about the  self interview on the DVD. Might have to track that down for a good laugh. Well if Goyer's writing is more good at being a general outline guy than the smaller details or being in charge then ok. Makes more sense again with Blade 3.

Everyone else is still there in pretty high-ranking positions. The business and product development director is still Reinhard Pollice, who was one of the AMA responders. If they want to spare the company its current reputation they should have gotten out when this was news. This isn't something you can just say "sorry" about and expect to move on from. There has been zero accountability, and the fact that the OP here is like "let's sweep this shit under the rug" is encouragement for it to never happen.

this bothers me a lot. Not just here but in the media outlets as well. Sadly, I predicted this already though.
Alright, let me know when they do. Prove me wrong. let me know when nickoloden and viacom get grilled about this, let me know when the gaming press continue to pursue THQ about this. Thing is, i bet they already forgot.

This apology was a huge crock of shit and no repercussions. It was a boilerplate minimum effort that took days to come, with no repercussions.
That shit is so dishonest it’s insulting :

No one wanders into 8chan.

So yeah, THQN is still associated to a breeding ground for Nazi terrorists, because they chose to go there and tried to sweep it under the rug.

Who is more morally repugnant : Disney for having their characters in a Square Enix game, a company associated to that notorious composer / Imperial Japan apologist, or Sony because their consoles were propped up by Final Fantasy ? And after identifying the exact proportion of each of those sins, how should the cofinancing of the next Spiderman be proportioned ?

Hopefully the philosophers of our time will be able to solve this conundrum.

Quote
The above caption reflects the title of a recently published book written by journalists Peter and Rochelle Schweizer. The authors assert that this is not a volume which conveys their personal opinions; rather, it is a labor of strict journalism. The Schweizers did an investigative study of the Walt Disney enterprise.

In preparation for their book, they interviewed hundreds of former and current Disney employees. They talked extensively with law enforcement personnel. They studied hundreds of documents (many of which are reprinted in their book). They adamantly declare that they do not cite anonymous sources; those who supplied the testimony for this dynamic production were all willing to go “on the record.” The primary focus of the book has to do with Walt Disney World in Florida; there are startling revelations indeed.

Walt Disney World apparently has a significant problem with pedophiles (those who abuse children in sexual relationships). Numerous employees—from those who work on the animations, to costumed characters—have been arrested on child molestation charges. Actual Orange County Sheriff’s reports are included in the book. Moreover, according to official sources connected with Florida law enforcement, the Disney corporation refuses to address the problem responsibly. Peter Schweizer states:

When the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, [the] F.B.I., and other law enforcement officers set up a Task Force to train security personnel, [to] run undercover sting operations and share intelligence on pedophiles, every theme park in Florida signed up. . . except Disney.

I'm not familiar with it but doesn't GameStop have a ridiculous amount of brick & mortar stores / franchises they accrued when swallowing the competition ?

It's a shrinking business competing with Amazon and digital distribution. In absolute terms still large I'd imagine, but not enough to support their current deployment.

I went there last week because of that actually good Switch trade-in deal- didn't go to the one closer to me because when I tried calling, a message came up saying "this store is experiencing technical difficulties."   ???

Went to the one at the mall and man, things have changed- as in it looks like 70% of the staff got canned and the one guy there just did not give a shit- it was great!  Didn't get asked to sign up for anything or get reserves.  Actually did the transaction and left in just a few minutes- it was almost like I was in a real store!  :o

Quality dick measuring contest on who reads more funny books, with this guy name dropping Slayven twice already as a credential.

you would lose that bet by a VERY wide margin. as Slayven has alluded to, both of us have had very detailed discussions, with people floating the same conspiracy theory you just did and smacked them down very publicly and with receipts. You are simply wrong here, and not by a small margin.

The only reason I won't do so again is that I'm bored of the discussion, it's ancient history, and it's a thread derail.

Take the loss, chief.
