idk what yang said but

public option: government-run program that is buy-in and funded by premiums

single payer: government-run program that covers everyone and is funded by taxes. alternate or supplemental private health insurance might still coexist with this, like in france, the uk, etc.

https://www.yang2020.com/policies/end-relocation-bidding/

Quote
The recent circus surrounding Amazon’s HQ2 project should highlight how damaging the practice of allowing localities to ‘bid’ for investment from corporations can be to our country, and how important it is for us to find a solution to this problem.

You can’t blame the corporation for trying to save money, and you can’t blame the localities for trying to attract investment and new jobs. Because no one has an incentive to stop this practice, it continues unabated.

However, it amounts to up to $90b a year of tax breaks and cash grants. Since states and other localities can’t run a deficit or print money, these subsidies amount to money that could otherwise go to school, road repair, and other important functions. These incentives are meant to steal jobs and investment from other states, not from offshoring or to entice businesses to expand when they otherwise wouldn’t.

There’s also evidence that corporations start with an idea of where they want to move, and then use a public bidding war to get tax breaks from those locations. Considering Amazon’s business, DC and NY were likely locations for HQ2 even before they received 238 proposals from cities across the country.

This form of corporate welfare needs to stop, and only the federal government has an incentive to do so. We must end it by considering any financial benefit provided to a company to entice local investment, or relocation, to be special income that is taxed at 100%. General investment by a locality to be more business-friendly is fine, but no more bribing companies to do something they were already planning to do. The only ones who win are the companies.

Never took it, only ACT. :hmph

spoiler (click to show/hide)
33 or 34 I think? I don't remember exactly, was pretty high end, max then was 36. I think they've since changed it like the SAT?

For some reason lots of the people I knew had problems with it and were mad* I seemingly dunked on it. They all honors/AP/4.0 kids who took stuff seriously. One dude who I like and think of as smart had to take it like three times to get a 28. So I remember thinking it was seeming too easy so I must have done bad type of test. But didn't so, whatevs I guess.

*I assume because it wasn't history/social studies/etc. stuff which they were used to benji totally annihilating the curve on at that point. :doge

spoiler (click to show/hide)
Also, I had to take it at some weird suburban high school that was built out in the middle of a nearby forest, yet was apparently the type of school where all the bathroom stalls are only half height. Every window you looked out from inside was just trees. Plus like nobody there for the test was from around there so during the breaks we're like wandering around this dark, strange, high school miles from civilization.

Guess ACT is still at 36, average is only 20. A 29 puts you in the 90+% percentile, huh, didn't realize that it had such a sharp curve to it at all.

Also Texas is RUN BY LIEBERALS clearly (otherwise lol at how close this map is to the EC "average" this century):

Back when I took it, they told us that ACT was if you didn't plan on leaving the state as in-state schools would know your high school's WARP equivalent in stuff so then less broad (and cheaper) ACT was fine, SAT was for if you planned on leaving the state or just wanted all options open. But according to Wikipedia now they're considered equal almost everywhere and since 2011 more people take the ACT than SAT.

isn't that illegal
It's all very cool, all very legal. Who's going to sue him?

Yang is willing to use the Trump administration dubious relationship with election ethics against them.
Which is why he is the best candidate to take on Trump. If he collects enough donations and money for the general election he can just outright buy the votes he needs to secure his margins in the swing states.
Had Clinton not spend $2 billion on ads and campaigning but simply spend it on buying 2 million votes she probably would've won.

The FEC going after the first asian american presidential candidate?

Yikes, not a good look.

Besides is that part of the government even staffed by the Acting Trump Organimadnistration?
