Katamari? Katamari. My mind goes mostly to the first 2 games. So eclectic. I think I've posted Lonely Rolling Star at some point on this site. That is my favorite track. Everlasting Love from We Heart Katamari I love dearly too. Decided to go with a very chill track that will ease you in for a calm Saturday.

Yeah taking a huge liberty here and not posting my actual birth year. Instead I'll give the honor to my first family pet. A sweet little hamster that was a total bitch and would bite me when I tried to place my hand in its cage. Probably my fault that I didn't condition it early on. Thing lived for nearly 3 years too. RIP little bitch.

Anyways, I got the hamster in the summer of 2001. So I'm going to post a track from FFX, but it will be the remastered version of this track.

Day 21 - music associated with frustration

Had to give this one some thought. Even looked at a few youtube lists and none of them really spoke directly to me. On that note. Library in Halo 1? There is something zen-like about it. You get into a nice rhythm. Just too long for its own good or should have thrown in some more variety. Cortana in Halo 3 on the other hand? There is no rhythm. Stupid idiotic turret flood and angles that make you think you might be drunk. But I don't recall the music from Cortana. I just had to bring this up, because Cortana is infinitely worse and deserves to take the Library's spot on every list.

Nevermind that though. I was trying to think of some experience from more recent times and remembered the 7th dungeon in Link's Awakening Remake. It's not the best dungeon music. That would have to be the Face Shrine. Just a maestro track. Alas, the chosen track comes from a part of the game that was very frustrating to me.

I need to try and get back to RH.. I got stuck early on and didn't know what to trigger to continue the story... Game was beautiful otherwise.

I'm looking at the rest of the days and I have several in my head. The more I look the less I think I have a proper Nier track. And I love the ost so much that it wouldn't sit right with me if I didn't include it at some point. So I will give it a spot on day 22. This is the theme that plays in your home village (not the actual town center). If you walk close to Devola, she is playing this theme and you will hear her singing.

And just for the fun of it. The little sanctuary area in Tokyo Mirage Sessions. It's been a while. I think this is where you went to upgrade your "Persona" (I forget what they are called). Bloom Palace

Not exactly the criteria, but it's the first videogame i remember playing, i don't even know how young i was (very), but i remember a family friend had me play Doom on their PC, the first experience i can remember with a videogame.

[Day 19] Cover music:
SPELUNKER (by Yamaoka)
Might as well post this recent one, it's great and i can't think of many interesting videogame covers anyway.

[Day 20] Racing Game:
Descenders (pc)
This track was in descenders, played it on gamepass. It's a simple, amusing game, but this track stood out to me, it's pretty nice, if you're into these vibes.
The only racing game i really play is Trackmania, and usually just keep custom music, so i migrated this one into my playlist there.

[Day 21] Frustration:
Star Wars Galaxies (pc)
Imagine farming for hours, in an MMO, and this is the combat music in loop.
Makes me want to kill myself more than opening my mailbox.

[Day 22] Town Tune:
Assassin's Creed II (360)

This is more games I have no interest in playing, which in this case: visual novels. I have no patience for them. Oh and most ADV games, too. Not going to stop me from checking out the music in these games though. And who cares if the music is from an adult VN or not. All that matters is the music.

Anyway, the game's soundtrack is pretty varied but I chose this track because it got me to check out the OST in the first place.

I played this game way back in 2008 and I've been a fan of this artist ever since. Over a decade later, I nearly have all of his works. Same can be said about The Sleepwalk/Watchman; I ended up buying all of his CDs because of this game.

The game's soundtrack covers a lot of genres and it's just wonderful overall.

I absolutely adore this game's soundtrack. One of my all time favourites. Though to most, the music sounded like a cacophony of audible vomit.

As much as I like Okabe's music, especially his early namco works, I just couldn't get into the music in NieR (both original and Automata). I don't think they're bad, overrated or anything... just not for me. Though I must admit I was pretty annoyed they got Okabe/Monaca to do Drakengard's 3 music instead of Sano and Aihara...

I didn't hate this game but it was a frustrating one. And by that I mean I found it frustratingly tedious. Mostly how slow it all felt. The game's world might as well be underwater.

EDIT: I remember accidentally deleting my cleared game save, so a big fuck you to this game and to myself for being a dumb shit.
