It is patently unethical to edit the article without retracting it entirely. I just don’t know that I’d argue Kotaku, which would have major legal implications in mishandling these calls if anyone chose to investigate this deeply, would claim important details backing their version of events if they don’t have such a recording to support their publication. It seems almost conspiratorial to imply Kotaku is lying about the recording, in print.

I like how the defense is Kotaku wouldn't lie because of legal liabilities, but Nathalie is somehow free of those exact same legal liabilities.

The only difference is Kotaku has a lawyer who will tell them publishing something without putting the liability on Nathalie is a problem. Now Nathalie does not want the liability, so Kotaku has taken it by publishing a rape accusation without a substantive quote from the alleged victim. Where's Kotaku's lawyer?

If this was a criminal matter, this liability would not exist since it be a factual matter of public record. Instead it's just a show for fun.

Going by their statements, I get the idea that both Cecilia and Kotaku don’t think they actually did anything wrong. They don’t show any remorse for how they handled their reporting, and give zero indication that they’ll try to do better in the future.

That's because Kotaku is openly calling Lawhead a liar, or at very least accusing her of not remember giving explicit permission. This greatly damages her accusations because it puts her reliability as a source into question. Apparently she has severe memory issues, or has an issue with regret and accusing other people of stuff after the fact out of convenience.

That's what I want in someone in a leadership, thus Presidential, role. I think Warren is that person; I though Hillary would be that person. Bernie isn't that person. He's a lazy ass.

Sanders has a history of working on detailed legislation, manages to work with everyone, and is the hardest campaigner in the race. Unless I’ve heard otherwise he’s also the only senate candidate that is flying back and forth during impeachment to still campaign. If there are disconnects it’s because Sanders is nearly always fullfiling obligations, at a rally, or flying somewhere. Granted he should get them more in line if this the plan.

But sure we’ll call him lazy. Makes sense.
